I know this is barely positive but this is only Cycle Day Five.
I usually have a positive OPK around CD 12/13. Can I assume based on this OPK result and having ovulation pain I will ovulate a lot earlier this month???
Also does anyone know if I decided to confirm with a digital clear blue OPK whether I need to start and program it on CD1 or can I just put in the sticks wherever I am on my cycle ???

That is not positive at all.
Your test line has to be as dark or darker than the control line to be positive.
Your body makes LH for other things and you often have some floating around in there that can register on the test. In fact, your HUSBAND could POAS and get that kind of line because he also uses LH for his body functions. It is only when the LH reaches a certain concentration that the test line gets darker than the control and only that is a positive test.
You cannot assume anything on the basis of that test or on O pains. Some months you just have a lot of O pain and cramping, I've had it as early as CD 3-5 many times and then did not O till CD 14.
Not sure aobut Clearblue, hoping someone else chimes in who knows!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

When it is positive, it will be glaringly obvious.
Take the instructions very literally. The test line must be as dark as or darker than the control line.

If it's the CB Advanced digital OPK (NOT the monitor) you don't need to program anything, just start testing once daily with FMU on CD8, assuming you have a 28 day cycle.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

I think it the monitor that I have.
I really don't want to invest in another one.

The monitors are very finnicky, read the instructions thoroughly!
