Hi, I was wondering if someone could please help explain this to me. I have been charting my cycle for two months now, taking both ovulation tests and my temperature first thing in the morning. In both cycles I have had 6-7 days of positive results - two strong lines. This months I started testing on Day 11 and got a clear positive and that continued until day 18 (which was first neg day). I even took with both morning urine and in the evening. I am quite sure I ovulated on day 14 as that is when my temperature spiked and stayed above cover line since. Could there be anything wrong?
I have done IVF pre-testing and my follicle count was 23 on day 3 which is quite high I think. Could this have anything to do with it?
Thank you for your help ladies!

What brand OPKs?
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Nahri I think I am ovulating as I have been charting my temperature. Low temps the first 14 days, then a spike and then high temps. And yesterday I got my period so not pregnant
Faulty tests perhaps? Just really strange...
maidentomother, I am using OvuPlan (25 IU/L). Perhaps I should try another brand this months.
Thanks!

Wow never heard of those. Are they pink handled strips with diagonal text? If not, are they strips, cassettes, or the kind you can pee on directly? What country do you live in?
PCOS is associated with high LH levels and that can cause lots of positive OPKs, but that is usually obvious from an ultrasound. An AFC of 23 is great, but normal great, not suggestive of PCOS.

Are you on HE Diet?? That can sometimes cause you to get a little "PCOS-Y" sometimes.
Any herbs??
It may just be that this is how long it takes your body to clear the hormones. As long as you're ovulating, I would honestly not worry about it. If your cycle starts getting longer, then we need to address it.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Maybe your opks are too sensitive? I can't use the Wondfo brand because they also give me 5+ days of positives. I've since switched to the Babi brand and early-pregnancy-tests.com brand of opk strips and no longer have that problem (just 2 days of positives now).
Me: 35 years old. Was an infant nanny and birth and postpartum doula. Now a full time SAHM.
DS1: Aug 2003 (my first home birthed water baby!)
DS2: May 2009 (my second home birthed water baby!)
Oct 2014
July 2016: Laproscopic surgery to remove a ping pong ball sized endometrioma on left ovary and 3 pea size fibroids on outside of uterus. Hysteroscopy to remove one larger "penetrating fibroid" inside uterus.
Oct 2016: Heartbroken after DH's vasectomy. Looks like my dreams of a daughter are gone.

Thank you for your inputs.
These OPK brand (tests sticks) are quite popular here in Australia so don't think they are faulty. Especially since I have gone through a LOT of packagesbought from different stores. Perhaps they are too sensitive for me to use. I will try another brand this month.
I am not on any diet or taking any herbs, only pre-natal. I know my doctor once mentioned something about cysts after my first pregnancy, but then told me not to worry about it. At my AFC scan they asked if I had been diagnosed with PCOS but at the same time said I did not look like I have it. Perhaps my OPK tests are connected to me being a bit PCOS-Y.
Thanks!
