Oh No - Did I screw this up by accident?

Atomic will you please read my post and help me. I will really appreciate it. Sorry it's so long, but I'm really stressed. I want my husband to have a boy.

My husband and I been TTC on and off for 7-8 months. I have PCOS so we wanna conceive as quick as possible, but the past 3 months it's been a hit and miss because I don't know when I'm gonna ovulate. It could be on any day... cd 23, 27, 37, or even 53. I had very little ewcm last 2 cycles, and they were only 37 and 41 days long, and I'm now on cd 53 on my current cycle and believe I already ovulated, or AM ovulating now.

I believe I may have screwed it up. We're swaying blue, and we've been dtd every 2-4 days since the end of AF. I noticed I wasn't about to ovulate by cd 30, so I started vitex since it always helped me ovulate and gives me loads of ewcm because I'm always nearly dry, even around O. We continued dtd every 2-4 days until over a week ago on a Friday. After we dtd that Friday, we abstained 7 days until the last Friday (4 days ago). Not on purpose, but was just super busy and dealing with personal issues.

I was having a little ewcm everyday, but not as much as I wanted, so I did the baking soda finger an hour before dtd to give me some wetness, and it was a good amount. The sad part is, once I got my first +opk yesterday afternoon (Monday), it ended up being a bad day to ovulate because we were caught up in something very important that made it impossible to dtd yesterday or last night, or this morning. Now he's working all day until 7pm. My opk is still +, but I'm drying up already. So we only got in ONE try, on Friday - 4 days ago, since 7 days before that.

I know vitex sways girl, but I thought I wasn't O'ing without it, and needed ewcm. For 3 months I been drinking lemon water daily, green tea some of the time, HE diet most of the time, and quality daily vitamins and not skipping meals for the most part.

    my questions are:

    1. what are my chances of conceiving a boy, even with the vitex and one-time try? I did read on others forums, some women conceived a boy on a one-time try and wasn't swaying.
    2. If i don't conceive this cycle, should I take the vitex on cd 1-Ovulation? or not at all? I took it from cd 30 for 2 weeks and stopped. I don't want it to delay O.
    3. has anyone on here conceived a boy 4 days before O or similar?

Thanks a lot, I hate I messed this up. I hope there's still hope though

Vitex does sway pink and got me my DD. If I were you and wanting blue, I really wouldn't use it. I know you could get a boy, but I think it sways more pink because it affects the cycle so much. I know Vitex is great for PCOS though. We'll see what Atomic says.
Have you tried Macca powder? Also I would make sure you are taking folate. If you can't or don't choose to use folate use folic. It seemed to get things going for me, because for a few months on Vitex I wasn't conceiving until I took folic.

    1) I never discuss odds because I have no idea and it would cause false hope or false despair. It is ALWAYS possible to get a boy and the highest rates of success we have are 75% for a girl, 80% for a boy, that leaves 20-25% opposites no matter how good a sway you do.

2)I don't recommend vitex for TTC a boy. I don't think it helps reliably to make your cycles better anyway and I do think it sways pink, BUT has not been stellar results for us. If you need something to help regulate your cycle I'd look into Pregnitude, this actually does help a lot of people.

3)I have gotten a boy with BD 4 days before I thought I Oed at least if not even more. TWICE. I may have Oed early those months but keep in mind you may have Oed early too.

I took vitex too when I conceive my DD, but didn't know about swaying. I took maca powder last year but it took longer to ovulate than with vitex. Thanks for the reply

Maybe I shouldn't rely on vitex so much, the past few cycles was shorter without taking anything. I will look into Pregnitude today in case I don't conceive this cycle. I'm fine either way if I conceived or not, if not, then I have another shot at it to at least get more attempts in before ovulation without vitex, if I am pregnant, I'm just hoping for a healthy baby anyway.

I don't know the exact day I ovulated, between cd52-cd53. My temps show a slow bbt rise after ovulation, so I'm just going by my two days of positive opks on cd52 and 53, changes in cm and I had a dull headache most of the day on cd53, which only happens when I ovulate on vitex, without vitex I feel nothing.

    Thanks for your reply

Don't do maca, we have had weird side effects and it messes up cycles.
