Swimming in a chlorinated pool during O

So it turns out I will be on vacation when I ovulate this month. My boys love the water but I'm wondering if it's not great for me to be in the chlorinated water? Should I avoid the water before the attempt or just after? Does it even matter? Does anyone know?

The old school sway gurus claimed that chlorination raised pH and swayed blue. I have seen NO evidence to indicate that this is the case at all and I find it highly unlikely that it sways blue, given that chlorine is not going to improve anyone's fertility at all and swiming probably washes away some EWCM anyway.

If you're really bothered by the pH idea then use a little RepHresh before you go in the water.

I didn't know some people thought it swayed at all- I was just afraid it would wash all of the swimmers away! I guess as long as I'm not going in the water immediately after we DTD, I should be fine then. Thank you again, Atomic!

within 15-30 minutes after sex, the little Elvises have taken their tiny peanut butter and nana sandwiches and left the building, and have swum up inside where they are safe and out of reach of anything we do (short of radiation!). The "stuff" left behind is dead/dying bad sperm and semen and that will come back out again when it liquefies (10 min-2 hours later). The good guys are already long gone by then.

I think it sways pink bc of the drying effect on CM.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period
