I bought a Hanna 99104 ph tester and it won't calibrate properly. When I use the pH10 buffer solution I can't adjust it get it to read 10.01 ph. The pH7 buffer solution works fine and I can adjust the reading for it accordingly. I am doing everything the instructions tells me but it still won't work! Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Ok I did a little digging on this and it turns out that sometimes the electrodes are bad. Call the company and explain the situation and they will send you a new electrode right away. IF that doesn't work, they will send you a NEW Hanna!! (several people have had this exact same thing happen.)

Mine did the exact same thing! Called Hanna direct and they told me to soak it overnight in storage solution to re-activate it and if still nothing call back. They have a helpline and a guy talked me thru it all. Still didn't work, so they offered me a new one, but since I bought it elsewhere, I called them and they send a replacement. Where did u buy it from?

I bought mine online from eseasongear so not directly from Hanna. We have been emailing back and forth but nothing seems to be working so I am now waiting to hear directly from Hanna. So frustrating because I just want it to work so I can start testing!

Just an update. Hanna would have replaced the electrode if I was in the US. As I'm not, they directed me back to eseasongear who haven't been very helpful. They want me to pay for postage to have the electrode repaired. The item is faulty so I am not willing to pay for postage. In my opinion if I have been sent a faulty item then I shouldn't have to pay to be sent a new one. So annoyed as now I have a faulty tester, useless!

Oh NO! I"m so sorry! That is a bum deal! I completely agree with your thinking on that. I took notes on this and will be warning people off of eseason gear.
Is there any way to buy a new electrode or what?? Or does anyone have a spare electrode that you could send to Bec??!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
