    Morning sickness help

I am almost 6 weeks and have started getting quite awful morning sickness, I am going to try and see a Dr to find out if he can prescribe me anything if it gets any worse. What have you ladies been given and what works the best without making you feel spaced out or drowsy?

Also, any suggestions on what I can do to minimise the sickness at home, any food suggestions or tactics? I'll try anything lol

Are there any prenatal vitamins that are particularly good for ladies suffering with morning sickness? that are easy to take and wont make it worse

Sorry you are feeling sick, this is the worse, I used to tell DH to take me to the hospital so I can request to be put in a medically induced coma up to 16 weeks.

The last two pregnancies have been worse, not sure if its because they were girls?? Anyway I had posted about this also as I have tried it all, wrist bands, crackers, small meals, preggy props, sour candy and gum which helps a little but my mouth/jaw is so sore from chewing I couldn't even do it anymore! I absolutely do not want to put the baby at risk but unfortunately could not lay on the couch or sit on the bathroom floor all day for weeks.

The last 2 pregnancies I was on Zofran from week 7 to about week 14/16. I still has a bit of a sour stomach but it really took the edge off, I wasn't vomiting or in the constant nausea hell. I had absolutely no drowsiness and could not deal with that as I drive 100 miles round trip for work and my job involves driving and walking! The only side effect was constipation though

    Hope you feel better!

Ginger is meant to help and Vit b6. I have used maxalon for 2 pregnancies and zofran for another and these work ok. Good luck. I always find that the worst part of pregnancy. Lol!
2008 2010 2012 August 2015 at 10 weeks and CP June 2016 2019. My longed-for baby girl (DD2) arrived into the world safe and sound on 13th June 2019 . We named her Lucia Anna Catalina. I still can't believe she is here and often have to pinch myself. I am one VERY blessed Mumma. She also has a dimple like her big sister.

So sorry to hear about your sickness. I had sickness with my boys and was physically sick a few times with my last but I've been sick most days, usually night time with this one. So, I know your agony.
Wristbands and even meds haven't worked, but eating dry toast and water every hour has eased it a little. I think when you are dehydrated and hungry it gets worse but try not to eat big meals as that can exaggerate it too.

If you can get what Jany has tried that sounds Gud as I was on a cheapie drug in uk and they wudnt give me anything else. Typical male dr just said you have to deal with it.
Hope you get sorted Hun and congrats on your pregnancy x

thanks ladies, I have also heard of a drug called maxalon. Has anyone had experience with that? whether its as good as zofran or not? it appears zofran can be quite expensive if you have to take it for a while

Maxalon did nothing for me! I'm nearly 32 weeks and still taking Zofran. I was prescribed Prednisolone for severe Hyperemisis and that stopped my from vomiting 20+ times a day. I was on that from 9-22 weeks. I hope you feel better soon

can morning sickness make you feel weak and shaky? my hands are shaky when I hold them out and I just dont have energy to do anything, I feel out of breathe with the smallest tasks lol The symptoms are similar to when you have a tummy bug

I went to the Dr this avo and he recommended the vitamin b6 and ginger tablets, and also gave me scripts for maxalon and zofran wafers. did anyone have nasty side effects from taking these at all?

Have you tried the bean tip that someone posted on here a few weeks ago? I definitely want to try it asap if I ever get pregnant again! I had horrible morning sickness till 26 weeks with DS2.
