Ladies who have had a chemical pregnancy

How long until your cycle returned to normal length? The cp made my lp 20 days and it's normally 11. Last month it was 13 and today is 12 and I still haven't started. I had the trigger shot and didn't test it out so I don't want to take a hpt. Just curious what others experienced.

With all three of my chemicals, my LP was 15 days when it's (usually) around 13 days. Last cycle it was 15 days so I guess it still had a lingering effect from back to back CPs, unless FF was wrong on my O date. I wouldn't think a CP would have that much of an impact beyond one cycle since the loss is so early. Could the trigger shot be delaying AF?

Hmm I hadn't thought about that. It didn't affect me in 2013 when I had the shot but maybe it is now.

If you haven't tested out the trigger then I suppose you could still have hcg in your system. Will you be getting a blood draw?

It is much, much more likely that you Oed later. A chemical won't extend your LP the next cycle. But, most women's LP will vary by a day or so now and then. It's rare to have a perfectly consistent LP every cycle without fail!

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

I had the trigger shot and IUI last month so I'm pretty confident in my O date. Either way hopefully I don't have to worry about it anymore.

How was O determined? Did you have a scan the ďay after O to confirm? It's very common to O late on a trigger shot. Much more common than most people realise. It's also possible your LP was miscalculated or that your LP is more variable than you thought.

I really don't think it matters though, considering those beautiful BFPs you posted! You're definitely right about that.
