Hi All,
what do people think of peanut butter sandwiches (2tbsp) and hommus for dipping with wasa crackers (moderate amounts say 2-4tbsp = 100 cals). thanks!

I'm personally staying away from peanut butter just b/c I ate a lot of it when I conceived my boys. I've had it as a snack (peanut butter balls/cups) lately but that's it. I mean snack as in dessert I guess. I know snacking is a no no on LE.
I don't eat hummus but isn't it quite high in protein? I guess just watch your limits. Maybe watch the sodium as well. My second son used to like it as a snack and I remember certain brands being high in sodium.Mama to four sweet boys

Yes it's quite high in sodium but I have a small amount of the reduced fat one with pitta for lunch quite often. I haven't been watching sodium though. I would find it pretty much impossible to stick to the diet if I was also cutting back on sodium! I don't have peanut butter.

I think hummus in moderation is great for pink. I know atomic ate it when she swayed. I would not eat PB daily but small amounts once or twice a week are fine. I have a rice cake with PB and berry jam a few times a month.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Maiden - that's what I thought. I don't know if the tahini idea is still current or not! I either have pitta or bagel with either low fat houmous or cottage cheese for lunch, with cucumber and then quite often crumpets and strawberry jam after.

I eat tahini in small amounts, with fresh garlic even, as a salad dressing. Most hummus doesn't have very much tahini in it. I ate a fair bit of store bought hummus myself last year, but lately I'd rather eat cheese than anything else with fat or protein! Hummus is definitely more pink friendly than the cheese I like, sigh.

both fine in dietary amounts. Ate lots when TTC my DD
If you are one of the people trying to mix and match the diets, you may want to go easy on them or use tahini instead.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
