    Question on attempt

I know pattern, frequency, timing etc aren't really huge sway factors but just hoping to get some opinions here on what you guys would do. So best results are 1 attempt at +OPK.... two of my boys are 1 attempt babies and the other one is a two attempt. If I had to guess, I think DH must have had a longer abstain for each so would I be better off trying something more like a daily pattern? Or every few days? I know that I should just go with one attempt at +OPK but the fact that I have conceived two boys with one attempt close to O is getting in my head.....

1st and only cycle with SIRM dallas: Canceled due to low response. Only 2 follicles. Dr. does not recommend another cycle and we do not have the heart nor the funds for a second opinion.

Moving on to swaying a praying! Hopefully there is a beautiful pink bundle in our future but if not, at least we make pretty boys

I understand how your feeling im no expert and i dont really believe that timing sways having said that i concieved both my boys on ovluation my first with 3 attempts at around o and my 2nd with +opk and then ovulation day. For my sway im going to do 7-8 days abstaining at 4 day cut off i know this reduces my odd of pregnancy by ALOT but i dont want no "what ifs" as the months go on i will bring my attempts closer to ovulation if i havent got a bfp. Im in no rush to get pregnant and i feel better for doing the oposite of what got my boys. I believe that diet exercise and 1 attempt are whats more important and go with your gut instinct on timing good luck with your sway

You got your boys DESPITE the pink sway effect of one attempt, due to your diet/exercise/lifestyle and other biological factors which sway much more strongly anyway. I don't think frequency matters, but if you really care try FR or CFR. I'm not a fan of abstain.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Yes, I agree with everything Maiden said and yes, stick with one attempt. Did you eat a blue friendly diet before?
Me: 35 years old. Was an infant nanny and birth and postpartum doula. Now a full time SAHM.
DS1: Aug 2003 (my first home birthed water baby!)
DS2: May 2009 (my second home birthed water baby!)
    Oct 2014
July 2016: Laproscopic surgery to remove a ping pong ball sized endometrioma on left ovary and 3 pea size fibroids on outside of uterus. Hysteroscopy to remove one larger "penetrating fibroid" inside uterus.
Oct 2016: Heartbroken after DH's vasectomy. Looks like my dreams of a daughter are gone.

When looking at what you did in the past, you have to understand that swaying is like the tip of a huge iceberg - the stuff we see "above the water" is miniscule compared to all the things that are invisible. It is absolutely possible to do everything "right" and still get an opposite (like 25% of the time!) and if it wasn't the whole human race would have died out a long time ago.

Point being, you just cannot focus in on ONE thing in isolation and start to stress/obsess about that and thinking "aha this was obviously swaying" because it is all but certain you got your boys not because of that, but in SPITE of that. "doing the oppoiste" only works when the thing you're doing the opposite of, was actually swaying blue for you. If it was swaying pink, but you were doing 200 other things to sway blue inadvertenly, then changing that one thing is not going to do anything but make you more likely to get another boy (unless you change some of the other things too)

I think that for best results you should do what has worked for most people most of the time and one attempt has been one of our best tactics consistently.

If you find you really can't do it, then try it with frequency pattern and/or timing at first. But be sure you dropthose BEFORE you add attempts.
