My dh and I plan on taking Sudafed a few times around ovulation. We have both taken up drinking alcohol for this sway as well. Is it safe to drink alcohol while being on Sudafed?

You should not take Sudafed yourself anyway as it's been linked to strokes in younger women.
Mixing alcohol and Sudafed is not generally recommended because it makes you super drunk after only a drink or two (atomic found this out the hard way once in college o.O) and you are having to care for two little guys. It really, really increases the effects of alcohol and that's why many people mix them when they are broke because they can get falling down drunk after only 1-2 beers.
If hubby wants to use Sudafed that is at your discretion, I generally only have men under 30 use it and then only one, 1-2 hours before BD.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Oh. Ok. I'll have him take it then and ill stick with the zyrtec. He was wanting to go cheap and just have both of us take it instead of me doing zyrtec and him doing sudafed. So I would zyrtec and alcohol be safe together? Or should I just focus on one over the other? I thought about just dropping the antihistamine altogether and doing alcohol. Thoughts?

Zyrtec and alcohol can make you a little drowsy but nothing like the alcohol-Sudafed combo. I don't really recommend mixing alcohol and zyrtec either but a lot of us have and tolerated that ok (I have mixed them at times just because I have allergies and forget I took one) So it is possible, just don't drive or operate a backhoe after that LOL. (and I'd not do it if I was breastfeeding or cosleeping, of course)
Antihistamine has gotten neutral results for us so if you'd prefer to pick one vs. the other then just do alcohol.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
