Hi I need advice please, I've dieted and exercised for 14 wks I did so well but after last attempt 2 weeks ago which was 2nd attempt I gave up on diet and exercise at 6 dpo I was so stressed and fed up my weight got quite low I'm only just underweight but I look so thin my dh has gone on and on at me about my weight saying how thin I am, I ended up so stressed I've just given up I've eaten so much and gone from exercising 1-2 hours per day to nothing. I was eating upper limits and my exercise was not to hardcore just power walking but I'm breastfeeding and the weight came off so easy!
I'm trying to conceive number 5 I've had 3 failed sways 2 ingender last 1 was le diet and exercise but I only did full on diet and exercise for a few wks but i couldn't wait for baby no4 and didn't mind really if I had another boy but this is my very last chance as dh is really not happy about having another baby but has agreed to one more for me I definitely won't be allowed another chance.
My question is after 11 days of eating and no exercise my next ovulation day should be in about 11/12 days (should be as only 3rd cycle off mini pill so cycles are not a 100% yet) do I start back on diet exercise etc and attempt at next ov or do I now need to start again and diet for 12wks plus my only problem is I've lost 19lbs since I started diet and even though I've been off the diet and exercise I've only gained back a couple of pounds I have no weight to loose really so not sure how I would manage another 12 wks! I've read a few posts where people are just carrying on and not worrying about slip ups on diet but mine is a massive slip up nearly 2weeks. I can't believe after all I did I've gone on to ruin my sway so annoyed with myself!

I would not wait another 12 weeks to attempt again. You were at it for a long time (diet and exercise) and even though you haven't for 11 days I would just pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start diet and exercise again. If you are losing/have lost too much weight you may need to increase your daily intakes and try to maintain the weight you are now. Especially if your dh is making comments about it. Also you may not even conceive this cycle but I certainly wouldn't skip it. Just my two cents worth
Lastly cut yourself some slack, you're doing fantastic!

Hi thankyou for your reply! I've given up on diet I'm struggling so much all my willpower has gone I just keep eating and exercise is out the window the more I get annoyed with myself the more I eat it's not helping being the summer hols with the boys at home! I've completely written this month off now I've been off the diet and exercise for 2 whole wks and I will be due to ov in about in 9/10 days I'm just not sure what to do I think this month is ruined but what about Sep is that also ruined as I won't really have been on the diet for full 12 wks do I need to start over and wait until December do I risk it I'm so confused what to do! Has anyone taken a month out if so did you start back at square 1? Or try straight away I'm really lost and annoyed with myself but only have myself to blame! Sorry to moan on just so stressed at myself and can't talk to dh about it as he thinks I should just eat what I want and thinks it's all silly but to be fare to him I don't look to great I'm 5ft 2 so I'm only small but my weight is now 7stone and I do look very skinny and he worries! 😔

I would not have you go back on diet for 12 more weeks!!!
Just continue eating upper limits of diet. Do NOT lose any more weight at all and hold steady 2 lbs above where you were.
You did not ruin your sway. Remember, it's the overall pattern of your diet over the course of time and not a week or two in isolation. Usually people think they've done far worse on diet than they did, and you have a lot going for you. Please do not skip a month, TTC this next ovulation.!!! Don't write this month off, go ahead and TTC.
Can you stick to diet at the upper limits?? 1800-2000 cals, 50-60 g protein, 50-60 g fat??? (this is what I recommend for most people breastfeeding anyway)
If you can't, that's ok too, just go to vegetarian.
A lot of times when people can't stick with diet it is because they are being too strict. LE Diet should be fairly easy to stick to and if you're really struggling we need to get to the bottom of why that is.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Hi, thank you for replying, I was at the upper limits and over on cals some days but not by much I'm kinda back on the diet I have been doing mainly vegetarian the whole way through with a few bits of meat but no red meat but not sure how much that works for me I went vegetarian for a year before last sway, but whilst I've been off diet I will have gone over on limits and snacked but I've eaten rubbish so maybe I've not ruined it that much but I still only gained a couple of pounds but the reasons I'm struggling is 1 weight Iv got none to loose now plus school hols my workout was walking to school which I can't do until they start back in Sep and I can't motivate myself to exercise at home I thought I'd be pregnant by now so didn't plan to be exercising and dieting in the hols also I'm normally slim anyway uk 6/8 but in my normal diet I eat loads without gaining really any weight so with the diet the weight flew off! Here's where I'm at now im veggie, breastfeeding, 3rd cycle off bcp, drinking 4 plus coffees a day plus Diet Coke and 1-2 drinks of cider per night we dtd this am 6/7 days before possible ov I'm sorta on diet I've been having light breakfast toast and coffee plus lunch and dinner but trying to stay in the limits I'm not exercising I'm nervous about attempting next Friday/sat with no exercise and rubbish diet but I do have quite a few sway tactics I suppose! In Sep I will be able to start back up on exercise and be better on the diet but I think I will attempt fri/sat if my sway doesn't sound to bad at the min could I add anything else in at this point to help or should I just leave it as it is? With thanks xx

Please understand that nothing in swaying is a magic bullet. you could have had a vegetarian diet before and let's say for the sake of argument it swayed a full 20% for you (which is a BIG sway tactic!) If you start off 80% likely to have a boy, and end up 60% likely to have a boy, that's still more blue friendly than pink but it was still working for you. You don't want to toss that out the window and think "well that obviously doesn't work for me" because something can work for you very effectively, but you still get an opposite anyway.
I actually think you are on target for a very good sway and would not have you change anything really. I don't want you to relose the weight and you probably needed it. Just go ahead and TTC!!!!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
