Girl desires, is timing wrong this month?

Hi ladies! My husband and I have a one year old baby boy, who I am still nursing. Ive only had two periods since he was born, but they seemed to be falling back onto a pretty good schedule. We havent really actively started ttc again....Ive just starting researching the girl sway diet, timing, etc. Anyway...I was looking forward to trying this month, and on cd 14, I had some ov pains and I was pretty happy w that, as we bd cycle day 11, and then not since then. (Leaving the gap for girl sway) I figured I was in the tww, and we bd just this past Sunday night. He left Monday (labor day) for a business trip for the week. Then on Tuesday, which was cd 25 I started getting gobs of ewcm. I'm fairly certain I just ovulated last night (thurs night)....had lots of cramping, stabbing pains, etc for about 5 min. That would mean I had sex on Sunday night, and ovulated Thursday night. So am i out this month? Is that too long of a gap for a chance of conception? 4 days? Ugh...I've never ovulated on cd 27 before!!! This also means I'll be getting my period at the beach. Son of a....

Girl desires, is timing wrong this month?

Hi Lady, It is not crazy to get pregnant from an attempt 4 -5 days earlier. You could still have a shot for sure at conception. Good luck!

Thanks so much!! I hate that we have to wait around a whole month for another shot. Why can't humans be more fertile creatures? Lol

You might not need another shot. Let the 2WW begin! If you need support during the wait come join the "spectacular September 2WW"

If this isn't your month for a BFP, have you tried OPKs to help time your attempt? I love them because it makes me feel like I am able to do something during the terrible wait for O day.

I did want to touch on that you mentioned you were timing your attempt before O to leave a gap, but the basics of this site don't use that technique. For girl, they suggest one attempt in your fertility window. It doesn't matter the timing compared to O. Typically it is suggested to have your attempt the day you get your first +OPK because that is easiest and most successful but it isn't a timing thing.

What are you doing as part of your girl sway?

Very interesting!! Thanks for the info!! I am not doing much, yet...other than research really. Do you have any good links to a girl sway diet? I find such contradictory info...such as sugar...some say girl sway, some say boy. Ugh.

Side note...after my suspected ovulation on thurs, I took an opk to see what was up...it was negative. Yesterday and today however, I got the blinking smiley face (high estrogen, not necessarily high lh). I have nooo idea. This cycle seems like a wash

This link above is the index to all the gender swaying links.

http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...l-version.html here is one specifically for the LE (low everything) diet. This site is going to be different than other things you read on the internet or other swaying sites so it can be confusing if you keep jumping between different sites. I can say that this site has very good stats and is very supportive. Atomic is amazing so read a lot of her articles and advice. Try to stay with more recent advice since things have changed over the years and some things have been dropped or changed based on the results they were getting. I think I read that if it is older than 2011 then it probably is not best to reference.

For the diet the keys is 12 weeks at 1500-1800 calories, 40-50 g protein and 40-60 of fat. A lot of ladies go vegetarian while on LE because it helps keep protein within limits. Other things they add is daily coffee, alcohol and fiber. There is a link to foods that are better for a girl, but on the LE nothing is really forbidden as long as you stay within the limits. This site doesn't support Ph theories so a lot of the things you often see on other diets have to do with PH (I know because I read half the internet before I found this site). There is also a PCOS version of the LE diet and there a few variations of the limits and recommended foods. You don't have to be PCOS to use it, it is just a different version that works better for some people.

Other key girl things (from this site):
Cardio 5-7 days a week is also good, but has to be for 60 minutes straight. Walking is fine, doesn't have to be intense cardio.

Only one attempt in your fertility window, usually at your positive OPK.

Most ladies do not multivitamins, prenatals or other vitamin supplements other than folic acid. (and you must take folic just for a healthy baby regardless of gender)

Then if you can get clomid or femara they are big big girl swayers especially combined with the other basics.

Thanks so much for taking the time to explain so much for me!! I truly appreciate it! I will be doing clomid in January...So that gives me like 3 months to maintain the diet before my clomid cycles. I'm hoping for a girl to complete our family. Ive always wanted one of each ( or more) but dh only ones 2

It's not unusual for cycles to take a while to normalize when breastfeeding (or even within 18-24 months postpartum even without nursing!)

Sunday to Thursday is a long cutoff but I do want to assure you you cannot tell when you Oed on the basis of O pains. I know it's hard when they are dramatic and short lived like that but it can be caused from spasms in the Fallopian tubes after O has occured so we really don't know when it happened. You're in with a chance! Good luck and pink dust!
