Hi there!
I've been a lurker for a few years. (Since my in-gender girl sway resulted in a boy in 2014.)
We are going to TTC starting the end of December and I have one quick question.
I'm currently overweight, but am losing rapidly. My question is, a lot of my exercise uses 5-7lb weights. (I do the 21 day fix/21 day fix extreme.)
Is it imperative that I focus more on cardio and less on building lean muscle? I've found that I lose weight MUCH quicker with light weight lifting. But I was lifting heavy weights when I conceived our third boy.
Currently a mom of 3 boys and would love a baby girl for our 4th and final addition.
I am mostly following the diet already, but will be following more strictly starting after grocery shopping today.
I already skip breakfast. My diet is mostly low carb/low-moderate healthy fat/moderate protein. I drink mostly water and coke, but have cut down to just a single cup of coffee in the morning and one caffeine free coke at the most every day. Lots of fruits and veggies, but I'm cutting to the recommended and adding in rice. I'm planning to be mostly vegetarian (maybe occasional chicken?). We are starting to TTC next cycle. I realize now that I should have started the diet a bit sooner, but I've just been focused on healthy weight loss.
I have SUPER low iron. (I get infusions twice per year.) And my body doesn't absorb many supplements due to Crohn's disease. But I'm going to try cranberry and vitex. (I did cranberry and soy last time and got a boy.) My potassium and sodium have also been flagged as low on recent blood tests. (They weren't when we conceived previously.)
Sorry to ramble! My MAIN question is about the weight lifting, but any advice is welcome. I have not purchased a plan.

I help everyone, plan or no.
The plans just allow me to do that instead of having to work outside the home but everyone is always invited to ask whatever q's they have.
You can still get a girl even with light weights as long as you're losing at least some weight on a lower protein diet. So if that is working for you, I would continue with it. My recommendations are by necessity kind of "one size fits all" but that should never be read to mean that if you don't do things just that way, you can't get a girl. You can, but I'm just trying to generalize what I think will work for most people, most of the time, if that makes sense.
WE have found that coffee sways strognly pink (and additionally, the reason why coffee was once said to sway blue...that it makes "calcium leach from your body" has been totally debunked) So if you cut back on coffee for swaying I'd add that back in to your normal level.
Low carb vegetables are free and unlimited. Higher carb veg and fruits are free for fat and protein, but you do monitor cals in them. So please do not feel you need to cut back on them if you typically eat them. We get great results with people eating rather a lot of them and our original thinking that even the micronutrients in fruit/veg might sway, appears to be wrong and people are getting girls eating lots.
I would continue taking whatever iron supps you take already.
I would not have you do either vitex or cranberry. Neither has gotten good results for us and they are worrying to me with the Crohns.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thank you so much for your response!
The weights ARE working for me. I will just keep it at 5lb weights. I've lost 8 lbs in 3 weeks, but only working out about 30 minutes per day. Starting today I am upping that to the 30 minutes of the light weighted exercise and adding in 30 more minutes of cardio immediately after, plus a light jog with the dog in the evening.
I was reading that you still had sugar in yours with your girl sway. I use a keurig and have been drinking target's mocha. 60 calories, 6g of sugar per cup. But I can switch to regular black coffee if you think it will help more. DH absolutely refuses to change his diets. He calls the sway my "crazy antics." In an affectionate way.
I know this is NOT recommended for everyone, but I ordered clomid from mexico and plan to take a low dose as well. We are starting to try next cycle.
I will drop the cranberry and keep going with lots of fruits and veggies, just watching carbs.
Thank you so much for your help!
As for BD, every 4 days has been working for girl sway?

It's one of those things where my "best case" scenario is not what I was personally willing to do - I just didn't wanna skip sugar in my coffee, so I didn't.
I do think that it's probably best to do unsweetened or artificially sweetened.
I'd do the Clomid CD 3-7 and no more than 50 mg. No herbs with that!!!
Every 4 days has gotten good results for us.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
