I am 5'5" and 145 lbs. I dropped 10 lbs over 2-3 months doing Nutrisystem a few months ago just wanting to lose baby weight before trying for #3. I stopped that diet a few months ago and am holding steady at 145lbs, even trying to diet on my own now. I'd like to continue dropping just a little more during my pink sway ( I started my pregnancy#2 at 138/140)
Any insight as to how Nutrisystem would sway? My concern would be the sodium? What else should I be concerned about with a meal/diet plan such as nutrisystem (blood sugar levels, etc?)
looking at how I was eating a few months ago, the 4 meals from the plan provided an average of:
15g fat
660 calories
41g protein
94g carbs
1400mg sodium
I then added in the other items to up the calories to about 1200-1500 - yogurt, cheese, veggies/fruit.
Would a diet like this work with a pink sway, if it were helping me drop a few pounds while TTC? Or are the nutritional components bad for a pink sway? (I know I'd probably have to add in a little more for the 1500-1800 calories)

Hi and Welcome! Congratulations on the weight loss!
The first thing that jumps out at me is the amount of protein. At 41g after 4 meals, that doesn't leave you much room in order to increase your total calories to the 1500-1800 range. It appears that nutrisystem is protein heavy to allow for feeling full with low calories. I know that some ladies in here have had great luck with doing weight watchers while swaying pink.
Swaying pink is really easy as long as you use myfitnesspal to keep track of fat, protein, and calories. Most of us have gone vegetarian and eat very little poultry. I would check out the LE diet threads for meal ideas (can't seem to link the thread while on my phone). Vegetarian is pretty easy- just eat what you make for your family and leave out the meat for yourself. Also, if you're in the US, you can eat veggie burgers for protein while keeping in the limits. Quorn, Morning Star, Boca, are all examples. Amy's makes great vegetarian prepared microwave meals that are quite tasty.
I'm sure you can do this diet, but you will have to tweak it quite a bit in order to stay in the limits- 1500-1800cals, 35-60g fat, 40-60g protein.
FX and GL to you! I look forward to seeing you around! When you start to TTC, come join us in the 2WW threads!!

Most of us have totally given up on the sodium thing and our results only went up when we did.
Is nutrisystem the one that has the shakes and fortified foods?? That's the downside is that the fortified foods are so nutrient dense.
Fat is too low to get and stay pregnant so I would want you to eat more fat than that.
Re protein - you can go up as high as 60 g protein and still be on LE Diet, so if you could make it work sticking in that limit that would be ok.
Another thing to consider is that you cannot count ANYTHING in low carb veg (they are free and unlimited) and should only count calories in higher carb veg and fruits - so you can't always use them to get you up in cal range because they don't count.!!!
