Difference btw abstinence and cut off

Sorry for a silly question!

I have read a lot about abstaining and cut off when it's time to DTD

Can someone guide me what is the difference btw the two and how does it sway anyway.

Abstaining is not having sex for a certain number of days. Blue swayers should have their husbands release (ejaculate) every 2-4 days. Longer abstains than that (so not ejaculating for like 5-6-7 days) will sway pink. All blue swayers MUST have their hubbies release every 2-4 days.

Cutoff is for pink swayers. It means that they stop having sex 2-3 days before they expect to ovulate and some people believe this sways pink (even though it has been totally debunked!) Blue swayers would NOT want to do a cutoff and most blue swayers want to have at least one of your 3 attempts on O-1 or O Day since some believe this sways blue (again, debunked, but it doesn't hurt anything to have one of your 3 attempts on O-1 or O Day.)

This is confusing sometimes for blue swayers because some people will say "cut off" as in "I am cutting my husband off from sex" but they really mean abstaining. It gets even MORE confusing because some blue swayers try to make their husbands' releases (the every 2-4 day ones) so it lands exactly on O Day (so they "cut him off" before that.) But I don't have people do it that way. I have seen no evidence that it helps at all and it also adds a lot of stress to the situation. I only mention it because I want you to understand what it means when people on other sites say that.
