I tried again during O and either my reading is low (acidic) or it's just not reading. I don't get it. Anyone else have this problem?

mine never work either, never seem to have enough CM to get a consistent colour change
I've decided not to stress about it as I'm using RepHresh and won't be using anything else to lower it! Just got to trust the diet and RepHresh will work

I ordered rephresh too. But I wonder, do you use a whole tube 2 days before O? I always O on CD14 so I can plan it easily, but I just wanted to check to see what was best.

I've been using most of a tube, but a whole tube isn't actually a massive quantity

Some people have something called "low ionic strength" meaning that the chemicals the pH strips test for are so dilute that it can't register them and does not react. You can get around this by getting a digi tester but they are spendy. Or, you can simply decide to trust that your sway will be working for you and go with that. We have had several people conceive boys with low pH and girls with high, so pH may not be all it's cracked up to be anyway. Plus, by not testing, you can relax and not obsess over your pH as much, tho I know that may not be an option that you prefer.
Another possibility is to test your urine daily. Now this is not at all reliable because your urine can be drastically different than what your CM pH is, BUT since you cannot get a CM reading, if you did want to just test and see what your urine pH was after taking supplements or for a few days after you had been on the diet for a while, it might give you some peace of mind that the supps and diet really are making you more acidic. I don't advise this though, because it is just so variable and then if you don't get the results you were hoping for, you might end up obsessing over something that doesn't even mean anything anyway.
Also, do know that if you use the jellies and also once your DH's semen is in there, you will prob. be able to get a reading on the combined pH even if you can't test your CM alone.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

You can do that or you can move it closer/farther or use less if you like. It all depends on how in a hurry you are to conceive. The more you use and the closer to O you are, the more it will reduce your odds of pg. You're aiming for the zone where your fertility is suppressed but you're still able to get pg.
