Flushing and flu-like aches while on AF

Hi there...so dh and I are planning on ttc in Nov. Been on a LE/pcos LE diet hybrid for a few months now...vegetarian except for tuna n shrimp (within limits), cut out all sweets, lots of coffee, no good fats (avocado, nuts etc), etc. I've lost 15 pounds or so in the last 2 months, I'm 5'2".
Going to use clomid to sway.

So, AF is always regular. But I noticed months ago, for about 2 months, I would get flu-like aches during AF. Would come day 2 of AF and be gone once AF was over. Had some warm flushes too...during AF only.

I went to RE to make sure all was ok, I'm in my late 30's. Always got pg easily in the past but just wanted to make sure all was ok. My follicle count was super high and AMH was 7.8. They said I was very very far away from menopause.

After those 2 months I didn't get that during AF anymore. Til now. I'm on CD 3 and for a couple days been feeling like I'm coming down with the flu, warm flushes etc. I did some Googling and seems common, some women said it started happening when they lost weight quickly, another said it happened when she stopped eating good fats.

I'm hoping this is all it is, and I'm not mucking up my fertility. [emoji15] Anyone else know anything about this or had this happen before?

Also want to add that I've had a headache off n on since AF started a few days ago....hormones or caffeine related?
I feel like crap. I hate eating like this, I'm happy with the weight loss but just feel crappy not eating super healthy like I usually do. If it gets me a girl it'll be worth it, but damn lol.

Add back in the fats. The vegetable based fats may actually sway pink when you are having mostly them and NOT in addition to animal fats.

    To sum up:

Animal + vegetable fats = boys
Vegetable fats alone or mostly = girls

I have had flushes off and on since I was in my mid 30's. Never seemed associated with weight loss or low fat diet to me but then again I wasn't making that connection, I did associate with AF or around ovulation though.

I want you to make some changes that will keep you happier on the diet. You may find that even just 2 or 3 little things, things that probably matter not at all in the grand scheme, can make the diet way easier to stick with. For me, I ate peanut butter. It was a small thing and back then I was actually very worried it might sway blue (we have evidence now that indicates it doesn't due to the vegetable fat thing) But it really, really helped way out of all proportion to what I thought it would. I could do anything as long as I could have peanut butter a few times a week.

Thanks so much atomic!!! [emoji4] That makes me feel better to know u got the flushes too, and still had your DD in your 40's! I was getting worried the diet was messing up my fertility.
It's also a relief to know I can add back in some good fats.....I love PB!!! Avocado is ok in small amounts too?

Yes, it is!! Avocado can actually be a very good rescue food on a day you've had a lot of protein, because it's high in fat, potassium, and calories so if you're over limits on protein and under on everything else, avocado to the rescue.
