Hi everyone, I did the LE diet for about 11 weeks and we got pregnant on our second try back in June! Last week at 7 weeks and 5 days we had an ultrasound and baby was measuring too small and were told to prepare for the fact that things may not go well, had my follow up today and my scan showed everything had passed - I had 5 days of bleeding after the scan last week, I'm feeling mentally ok I had two early losses before having my two sons and it is an upsetting situation but I also believe it's just your bodies way of saving you from further upset at a later date.
I have been off the LE diet now for about 5 weeks so I'm wondering what the best course of action is either re start my sway and wait another 12 weeks and then go from there or just go for it? I've read a few posts about pregnancy before your next AF swaying pink so does that sway pink more than restarting the diet? We want to have another as soon as possible but we also put so much into our last sway that for the sake of 12 weeks I don't want to rush into anything, I plan to start taking my saw palmetto and vitex tomorrow and am going to continue my folic acid.
Thanks everyone!

Oh Meghan I'm so terribly sorry to read this.
What has worked best for us is to get right back on the horse again and TTC as soon as you've got the doctor's clear. Yes, you've been off diet a short while but the effects of the loss on suppressing fertility seem to sway significantly pink. So go back on diet and exercise if you were doing that, wean off prenatals, and then try to catch that first egg.
Do NOT go back on V and SP. we have found that doing that before your first AF after your loss makes it take much, much longer for your cycle to resume. If you must restart them, wait for the first period bleed and start them then.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thankyou for your reply, it was very upsetting news even though I had fully prepared for it I think it made it especially hard this time because it was your average "trying for a baby" situation, I don't think I'm going to exercise this time because but I don't think spending an hour on the cross trainer with just my own thoughts right now is a good idea, I do feel fine in sense that we need to move on from it and keep going but I'm just feeling quite emotional about everything, I did take a vitex and SP before I went to bed last night with my folic acid but I won't take anymore, I order some cheap ovulation tests just to monitor what's going on but we were just going to go for the E4D again? I haven't been eating a lot during this pregnancy anyway as I've been feeling really unwell but I have been eating meat and gone back to being a snack a holic! Lol so I'll just pick up where I left off, thankyou for your advice hopefully I can update you with some good news really soon! X

Also with my two successful pregnancies I took 75mg Asprin for the first 12 weeks it wasn't for swaying it was because the two previous losses I had were caused/ started off by a blood clot forming near the babies this time around I didn't take baby asprin and the same thing happened again so next time I am going to take it once daily from my bfp until 12 weeks because it seems to work for me but I have also seen a lot of people including it X3 a week as part of their sway so seems as I'm going to be taking it anyway do you think I should start it now?

yes just getting back to e4d is a great way to go.
RE the aspirin - if you need it due to a clotting disorder then it is fine to take and you should take it. People who DO NOT have that clotting disorder, whose blood clots normally or (like me) is on the thin side and tend to bleed/bruise easily, should not take it because it caused a lot of side effects and carried greater risks than we first realized. I have moved away from having people take it for swaying because it hadn't worked anyway and the risks and side effects were really major.
So that is fine if you have your doctor's ok on that.
I would be cautious about when to start it, though - if you are still experiencing bleeing from the loss I would not take it at all till that has stopped totally, and then I'd ease into it by taking 2-3 days a week at first to prevent the bleeding from resuming. And in case your doctor has not explained this (or doesn't know since many docs do not know this) at the end of the first trimester, you need to wean off it gradually by spacing doses furhter and furhter out till down to one per week, then it is ok to drop it.!!! I never took it before my bfp with my boys but I think i will take it a few times a week before hand this time and then just up it to every day after my bfp! No I don't have any bleeding I haven't had any for about a week now and at the scan they said everything is looking really good and we can start again so
Hopefully everything will go to plan! I weighed myself earlier and in the 5 weeks off the diet I have only put on 4lbs so it should be too much to lose! Thankyou for all your help!

Please don't suddenly up it, either. Just go gradually. Please understand that your blood not clot, can be just as bad as having it clot too easily. I prefer everything happen gradually with aspirin.

Yeah I was thinking about it after I spoke to you and decided to not take it before hand and just start after my bfp as with everything that's happened recently I think it's probably safer to just start it afterwards if there's no benefit of starting it before hand

Hi atomic! I got a faint bfp this morning at what I believe to be around 11dpo based on my opk only as I have no idea of my cycle length because of the MC so it looks like we've caught the first egg! I'm a little bit nervous that I've only been back on the diet for not even 3 weeks though! But I'm hoping the short time on the diet + MC will be enough for us! Last time I came straight off the diet back to eating whatever I wanted whenever I wanted it and I don't want to do it like that this time! I'm gonna be a paranoid wreck for these 12 weeks I can tell! Do you have any sort of diet fading out pattern you would suggest for me? Like I was thinking I was gonna start eating a bit more when I wanted but stay veggie and then add meat slowly but I'm not sure how to do it all? X
