Is this kind of Folate okay to take?

Hello. Reading through the boards I have decided recently to start taking Folate. Its quite pricey but have found one that is do-able as it comes in a set of two. Could anyone please take a look at these ingredients and tell me if they are safe for pregnancy? I have started them already but perhaps should have made sure first. Ingredients in the webpage under "Supplement facts". There are also quite a few of the "other ingredients listed" Is this okay to take in 3-4 mg a day? I have been taking 3-4 a day. a little confused It says to consult physcian if pregnant and not to exceed the 1 mg dose. Hope I did not harm. Tia.

Yes, that is fine. I would stick to 2 per day unless you are over 40 or have a history of babies with neural tube defects or chromosomal abnormalities.

You would take this level only through the first trimester of pregnancy and then gradually wean off of it back to the amount only in a prenatal. Just space the extra doses further and further out till down to one per week, then drop it. Don't take it past the first trimester after weaning off.
