Obviously I know we can never truly know why but it bugs me and I'd love to know what you think even if it's just for fun!
My friend has 2 sons and just found out she's expecting a boy again and I could have bet money on her having a girl (am I the only one that does that since swaying lol?!)
She's 30, been a vegetarian for 16 years and is a runner, she trains often for marathons etc. She's very thin despite having pcos, and gets less than 5 hours sleep a night!
Do you think pcos alone has caused her to have 3 boys? I can't work it out! She wasn't actively trying for this 3rd baby and said they'd only had sex once that month!

Her diet must be more like HE despite her other pink factors. Sometimes I think the people who train a lot and do a huge amount of cardio, compensate later by eating a lot. That is just my observation from a friend, who like yours, got a boy from seemingly obvious girl factors going on. Her diet was total HE at the time she conceived. My friend told me she grazes all day and doesn’t have a set meal, despite being vegetarian.
Who knows though? People get opposites all the time from awesome sways and some people don’t sway at all and get their desired gender.

ive known a few super thin (almost unhealthy looking), health freak, cardio junkie women who barely have time to eat and are always running around on the go still have boys and they were all highly strung and total control freaks, i dunno if that plays a big part but that was the common thing among them when everything else seemed extra pink friendly.
Atomic does talk about the "special mojo" that ruins otherwise good pink sways, maybe they all had that!!now 6blue5pink

Who knows. I've seen people with an obvious pink lifestyle get a boy or do all the same things they did with their boys and get a girl. I think I had a good pink sway and still got another boy. Sometimes that's just how it goes. Like others have said, it's also possible she has a very HE diet or maybe she's eating a super carb-y diet which is aggravating her PCOS and swaying blue. No real way of knowing though.

Come to think of it I do think she has control freak tendinces! I rarely see her eat as she is chasing after her boys constantly but it could be that she has small snacks all day instead of meals!
SHes so thin she's even thinner than she was in her 20s and she was tiny then!2014

I was really thin when I conceived DS3, even skinnier than I was in high school (and I was tiny back then). I've seen quite a few stick skinny women concieve boys and heavier set women concieve girls. I think it has more to do with diet, exercise, number of attempts, etc more than it has to do with weight. I've also seen Atomic theorize that some women who don't eat enough have their bodies think it's starving, causing the body to basically go into survival mode which possibly sways blue. We don't really know how this all works for sure but it certainly is interesting!

That would make a lot of sense! It's so interesting isn't it?! I've not gone full vegetarian with my sway and it does give me hope that not all is lost if I do eat some meat as I've been stressing about that!
Thanks for all your input I love reading them!2014

When I conceived my boys I was super thin with very little muscle and fat, very busy at work, one sometimes two vegetarian meals a day with only one attempt. But, I was very ocd about things being in the right place and neat and tidy. Then after my first I was diagnosed with an immune disorder linked to sugar. Both I think played a massive part in me getting my boys!

You guys are all describing me when I got a girl! And survival mode has a study showing it sways girl! It's still all coin flips, and I think swaying is just trying to nudge the coin a certain way. It can still flip the way we don't want! Or flip far enough around to the other side again lol

I find it really fascinating and find myself analysing everyone around me to see if they 'should' have the gender they do - particularly those with all one gender. I have one stick thin friend, barely eats, vegetarian, struggled to get pregnant who has two boys but she is a total control freak. Most of the girl mum's I know run so I think in general the cardio is important - although I agree maybe if exercising to excess may be eating HE to compensate and may sway blue. The girl mum's I know are in general calmer, more laid back, more 'take it as it comes', less likely to get involved in a 'heated debate'! I have two boys and definitely think I was unknowingly swaying blue - I have high metabolism/low blood sugar so need to eat all the time, I was slim but healthy slim and ate very big portions (I can eat a lot without putting on much weight which is why I've got so thin on LE diet even though I am not being super strict and trying to eat lots). I am competitive, fiercely protective of those around me and will always stand up if I think something isn't fair. I'm quite laid back in other ways though (messy, late, spontaneous). So perhaps personality is also a very large factor! All very fascinating! Girlswaylondon I too am eating some meat - I can't manage the sway without it and all my vegetarian friends have boys (some have a pigeon pair) so I figure the change from eating meat twice a day to roughly four times a week is good enough for me!
