Body type and fat percentage sway?

    Hi ladies,

I'm trying to fight my girl mum defeatist attitude as I write this but taking tue plunge and swaying for #3 is slowly starting to freak me out.

I'm curious about whether you think your previous or current body shape and body fat % has swayed for you girl or boy? I ask knowing weights are a recommendation for a blue sway and I'm wanting to decrease my body fat %.

I'd consider myself one of those "fat skinny" people. Actually now post 2 pregnancies I'm more like "fat average" and definitely have a very pear shape. Anyway prior to DD1 I was at my lowest weight ever, I'm 5.9 and weighed 59kg. At the time I wasn't eating particularly well and was doing cardio 5-6x a week. Despite being my fittest (not healthiest) I wasn't that toned and hence DD1. I put on 20-25kg with that pregnancy and lost 15-20kg of that prior to conceiving DD2.

Anyway, currently sitting at 70kg after putting on another 15-20kg with my recent pregnancy and am concerned my body type and fat % will always sway girl. The scales tell me I'm about 33% fat and I'm definitely feeling frumpy post 2 pregnancies. I've never been toned and despite getting back into the gym and picking up some pump classes I've made little inroad into my fat %. I intend on increasing the amount of weights I do prior to ttc but am scared I'm trying to push water up a hill.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on body types and fat %, do these sway and how significantly?

The % symbol in the title made it give an error. I changed it for you.

If anything I think a lot of muscle + a good amount of fat sways blue so I would not worry about this. Just keep doing exactly what you are doing but just don't get too hung up on body fat % since we don't ahve any data on it at all (but boy howdy would I LOVE to do a study on it!!)

I am definitely fat/skinny and have a major pear shape. People are shocked when I tell them what I actually weigh because I am tiny on top (alas) and then my legs and butt have their own gravity LOL. I also have really good cholesterol levels so it may not be quite as cut and dry as body type and fat % and stuff like that.

I think you have every chance at a boy, Mia, I really truly do.

Body fat scales are notoriously inaccurate, fyi, so don't let that get you down!
