    Decisions, decisions...need some help!

Ok, so I'm now 2 weeks post-m/c, just got my first BFN (yay!) and am showing fertile signs (EWCM - though mixed with a bit of spotting), soft, open cervix). I took an OPK today and it was -.

If I am lucky enough to O sometime soon, I am soooo tempted to try to catch that egg. I want nothing more than to be pregnant again ASAP, but I'm also trying to keep my head on my shoulders and remember how badly I want this to be a girl. My sway isn't so great since I've only had 2 weeks to prepare.

    Here's my plan:
-Low Everything diet - I started this the day after my m/c, so it's been about 2 weeks. I've had 3 cheat days since, while visiting with my mother - one of those days included a hamburger, but I was vegetarian the other days, but probably went over for protein/sodium since I was eating things like cheesy vegetarian lasagna. I've lost 5 of the 13 lbs I gained while pregnant, bringing me to 118, which is still 10lbs lighter than I was when I conceived my 3 boys
-I started taking Vitex twice a day the day after my m/c
-plan to start using 1/2 tube of rephresh every 3 days once I'm sure the bleeding is done
-I will take 1 zyrtec a day when EWCM appears
-when I get my smiley, I'm going to have dh release once or twice then dtd that night. If O still hasn't appeared, we'll dtd again the next day

So...what do you think? It's a pretty weak sway - should I try to be patient and wait until next O? Another factor to consider is that for 3 days I've been taking a prescription steroid inhaler for my cough, and I just found out that sways boy. I'll stop taking it now, but I wonder if the damage is done.

Problem is if I do wait, I'm not guaranteed a better sway. O week could potentially be right around Christmas, when I'll be staying across the country with my ILs for a full week with no control over what I eat - there will probably be lots of meat involved. There's no way I'm waiting two cycles to TTC, so it's going to either be now or a month from now.

Aaahhhh! I'm so bad at decisions! Maybe my body will make the decision for me and I won't end up Oing this cycle, but I need to be prepared in case it happens soon! I really feel like my body is trying to O right now.

Thanks, DM - my instinct is telling me to go for it, but I'm worried all my boy sway factors are going to keep running through my head and making me regret trying after the fact. I wish I hadn't been using that inhaler - I'm worried that just tipped the odds against me having a girl.

I think your plan looks great Mocha. And I´m happy the HCG went away so you can work on getting pregnant again.
I would try this month if I were you, are you planning to do J&D also? I think that may be a good way to start TTC now and have no regrets later. And then next month your sway would be solid anyway, I believe the 6 weeks of LEdiet will put you in girl-mode even if you cheat some for a week around OV. FX!

I think thats a really good sway Mocha! and you should just go for it !You have a really good chance of a girl with the stress your body is under it will send out that signal of hard times and give you a girl, there is no harm trying and if your body isnt ready yet then you might not conceive, but at least you tried and on to the next month right!Only you know if you are ready!Im hoping for a BFP as a xmas present too,i should be oing any day now i hope we can be lucky in December my favo month!FX for you hun xxxx

Thanks everyone. Today my cervix is completely SHOW, but my EWCM is almost entirely brownish-red with blood. Can I even be ovulating when I'm still spotting like this? Only a tiny bit of blood if any makes it to my pad, but when I do a cervix check my finger comes out covered with it. Is it safe to dtd? Anyone know? If I am about to O it would be right on schedule with my normal cycle - CD16. I'm soooo tempted to dtd tonight just in case, but not if there's a danger of getting an infection by dtd before my bleeding is done.

I can't answer your question above about getting an infection due to the cervix still having blood on it. Besides that I do think you should go for it also. You may already know the cycle after miscarriage sways girl. Regarding the diet, I concieved a baby girl (my loss in July) doing Jenny Craig, so I was losing weight, but the food had to have TONS of salt in it. So, I'm thinking the weight loss is more important then the actual food..and wouldn't worry about having had red meat! If I had known myself I could TTC right away I probably would have. Friday was my first attempt after my loss...seems so long. I just didn't know I could right away.

    Celebrate

M.J. - I think your heart is screaming for you to go for it. Sounds like your body may also be ready as well. I definitely say go for it. Your sway has been really strong since your m/c...probably stronger than you think! Are you using OPKs every day? I've been using IC ones and they've helped out a LOT. I wouldn't think dtd at this time would be that big of an issue but I would put some RepHresh in this a.m. since the pH of blood is pretty high. The RepHresh will take care of that quickly, especially if you only have a bit of blood. and
