Happy New here and need some help!

Hello everyone! So nice to find this forum!!

I am currently pregnant with #7 and expecting a boy. Experiencing quite a bit of GD so both hubby and I have decided to try for #8 straight after this one is born.
We have had 11months gap before and really liked that gap, so hopefully will be able to get a small gap like that.
    My questions are:
    1) I won’t be able to change my diet for at least 12 weeks, and that seems to be the recommendation. What should I do?
    2) it will be pretty hard to tell when to expect my first ovulation. Any tips on this?
    3) I exercise quite a bit, but not always cardio. Also do some weights and lots of yoga. Is Cardio what I should stick to? I guess I can start changing that now if that is the case.
    4) I am able to get Femara or Clomid. Any tips on how to make it more effective for swaying? And which one? Again, it will be hard to say when to start so any tips are welcome. I guess no dr will tell me how to use it for swaying 🙈

I am sure I will have loads of questions in the next few months. So so happy to have found you all
    Thanks in advance xxx

I think a small gap is lovely. Hoping if im bless again any time soon, to have another quickly to aim for a small gap. I have 19 months between my boys and its lovely but a small gap would be nice too.
At least 12 weeks is recommended so that’ll be ok.
Not sure about ovulation, naybe someone else can advise, could opks work?
I think cardio is the way in terms of exercise and clomid is like the top swayyer from what i read so your lucky to get that! Good luck with num 7 and trying again ☺️

I think I word it wrong... I meant that because I am NTNP as soon as possible after birth, I might not be able to do the diet for 12weeks before falling pregnant. Last time we went for such a small gap, I was pregnant 6 weeks post birth.
This is assuming that the LE diet is not reccomended during pregnancy...

    Ahh sorry i misunderstood
I wouldnt do le diet in preg but im sure Atomic can give u proper guidance
I wouldnt recommend if your planning to breastfeed your lil one either
Just idea could u try the diet limits ( ie more calories etc if u do breastfeed) and then with the ntnp it may take u a few months to concieve. Or if it happens early there is success rate for the sway but just less than what it would be if did the diet for 12 weeks ... does that make sense?

Would u deffo not want to wait 3 months after birth to try?

    Hi and welcome!

Close child spacing, while not 100% effective as you know, can help sway pink. Are you going to be breastfeeding? Because it may make it harder for your cycle to resume if you're dieting and breastfeeding.

in terms of length of diet, just do what you can do. For all you know it may take longer for your cycle to come back (even without breastfeeding, sometimes it takes up to 6-9 months for cycle to resume postpartum) and you'll end up with plenty of time on diet. 6 weeks or more has been adequate, it's just that 12+ was better.

There are no tips for ovulation to come back - just when your body thinks it's time. I would eat more than you think you need to coax your cycle to come back sooner.

Yes cardio alone is best, but if you need some weights to get your heart rate up, use very light ones. Sometimes people who are very fit need a bit more challenge to get their heart rate up.

The medications are effective all on their own. Diet, exercise, one attempt, and Clomid/Femara are the best tactics there are! As a general rule I prefer Femara but if you're breastfeeding you may need to go with Clomid since it's more tested while breastfeeding. You don't have to do anything any differently with the Clomid/FEmara to use for swaying, you just use it as it's meant to be used. And yes, it's probably something you shouldn't bring up with your doc because I"m worried they will refuse to give it to you if they think you want it for swaying!

No, don't diet during pregnancy. I honestly do not like you guys doing diet at all before 3-6 months postpartum because your body needs to recover more than that. Just be sure you are eating upper levels of diet 1800-2000 cals, 50-60 g protein and fat. I STRONGLY advise against limiting yourself if you are breastfeeding, just go vegetarian.

oh and in terms of attempts I'd have you do attempts every 4 days. We have good luck with this for swaying and also it's easier when you don't know when you're going to ovulate.
