How long should DH hold off before DtD? Once I get positive opk, then do it within 24 hours?

That idea of having DH abstain a certain number of days before one attempt has not worked. One attempt has swayed strongly pink and it's been next to impossible to predict when O will come so people never know how to time that final release which adds tons of last minute stress right before TTC.

Instead, have DH release on his own or with you, with a non-spermicide condom, every 2-4 days starting as far in advance as possible. If you don't care about timing, you can even have these attempts inside and exposure to the hormones in semen may make you more blue friendly.

Then at positive OPK, go for 3 attempts. Night of positive OPK, again the next morning, and again that same night (so 2 attempts the second day if you possibly can) and then a few days of every other day just in case of delayed ovulation.

Do not worry if your husband has just released and then you get the OPK. That will not sway pink. It takes 7-10 days of back to back release every day without skipping any days to sway pink, and even that barely works!
