Lots of weight to lose - cardio question

Hello, we will be ttc #2 in October and would like to sway pink. With my first we adamantly wanted a boy so i ate anything and everything, took prenatals, temped to check ovulation, etc.
I gained 25 pounds while ttc and DS was born May 2017 😁 I'm currently 15 pounds less than i was when i got pregnant but I've always been heavy so gaining is much easier than losing for me.
I know weight loss is good for swaying pink along with 60+ mins of cardio - but does the amount of weight loss matter?
I've got 60 pounds to lose before my bmi is considered "normal", so like I said, lots to lose.
    Currently, my plan is:
Move breakfast from 8am to 10-1030 am
Lunch at 2 and dinner 6pm-630pm
1800 cals max, 50-60g protein and fat
60 min cardio (walking) 5-6 times a week
Cardio will be in morning most days before breakfast and followed by a crystal light w/ caffeine drink
    Taking folic acid
In july we will begin DTD every 4 days.
And the biggest thing for my type a personality: letting it go. Aside from watching my protein and fat intake and checking opks, no tracking or temping or obsessing.

    Cardio question is:
Can I do extra on some days? Will an extra 30 minute session counteract my 60 mins?
Like today i pushed baby in stroller for our morning walk but I'm wanting to get out for another walk or to go cycling mid day - is this ok?

    Weight loss question:
Is there such thing as losing too much weight when swaying pink?

    Thanks!

Could you answer one more question? One of your posts said no fiber if you have IBS - why is that? I have very intermittent IBS which is aggravated mainly by not enough sleep, red meat, alfredo/creamy sauces and eating dried fruit while pregnant (lol). Should I skip the fiber?

Thanks so much for your patience!

The amount of weight loss is not terribly important. It's great if you can lose some weight, but to be honest weight loss OR gain has not been terribly predictive of sways that worked and those that didn't. Just hasn't been as much of a thing as we once thought it might be. It's actually great to start off with a pink sway a little up on weight. The people who have started with a fair amount to lose as a general rule have a much easier time of it than those who start off very petite and have nowhere to go.

I think you will do best on one of our alternate diets (even if you don't have PCOS, it's better for anyone with some weight to spare) https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gen...rt-3-pcos.html

As long as you've had at least one round of 60 minutes, you can add additional 30 minutes onto that or whatever. i don't like you guys to do 30 minutes here and 30 minutes there, but it's fine to then add another 30 minutes as long as you've had (or will have) 60 min. at some point.

You CAN lose too much weight when swaying. You can also lose weight too fast. This ends up delaying or stopping ovulation. So to guard against this, just don't go overboard, stick in the limits for the diet, no starvation, keep eating fat in the suggested amount (some people try to go to 0% fat - don't do that!) and while you'll likely see a big weight loss at first, once that settles down, try not to lose more than 2-4 lbs in one week.

Yes of course! I'm here to answer all the questions.

It's because we have seen people with IBS get really bad stomach issues after taking fiber. So at this point it's happened so often that I'm inclined to just leave it out for anyone with IBS rather than having people take it and making themselves sick either with extreme diarrhea or really severe constipation (fiber can do either of these things)

    Thank you for the information!

The pcos diet says no caffeine but I've read that coffee had had good results for pink sway?

I think I'll give the fiber a shot but I'll definitely ease into it (i had to do the same when i was taking pro-biotics and out helped). If it bothers me I'll stop- i figure i have almost 4 months before ttc so i have a little time to figure it all out 😊

Have the caffeine. I should probably change that, as it was originally based on the conventional wisdom of "this is what is best for PCOS" but we have subsequently found that notion was actually based on poor science to begin with (caffeine may make your blood sugar go up for a little while after you drink it, but over time it improves your insulin response significantly and so it's actually beneficial!) And it's also had fantastic results for pink so I do think it's a good idea for everyone to include it, particularly COFFEE since it's likely coffee itself and not caffeine that has the magic.

Ok! No one needs those sky high doses on the fiber bottles anyway. Just the minimum dose, only with meals containing fat or fat soluble nutrients like A, D, E - this will typically be skim dairy (which you should not be having on PCOS diet anyway!!) and salad with fat free dressing. All other things will have fat in them typically so you should be using the fiber with them anyway!
