I posted this somewhere else but no one wanted to play! Thought I would try it out here!
So, I know some great Thanksgiving ttc girl recipes were posted. However, for those of you who are going to be having Thanksgiving at someone else's house, what's your approach? Will you just have a light meal early in the day, then not eat, and then just eat that one meal and a small dessert and try to eat the least amount of protein as possible?I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to be questioned but I don't want to throw my whole sway off either.
What's your plan of attack???

Thanksgiving, what's your plan?

I'm a girl swayer...We'll be eating at someone else's house so other than what I bring, I'll be at the mercy of what is served. I will not be eating any meat (I don't anyway) and will try to stick to salad, fruit, the raw veggies (if they have them) and white carbs. I'm making a pecan pie which is not part of Atomic's TG menu for girl swayers and I will definitely not be eating any of that! I don't think they'll be watching me eat that closely so I'll just keep the portions small and stick to low fat, low protein, low cal options.

I'll play, but my answer is boring! Its at my house, small crowd and I'm gonna stick exactly to my IG diet! I may have a cookie or two from Atmoic's reciepes I found, not from Thanksgiving, can't remember the name-something with mounds/melts? My first attempt will be right around then- I'm not gonna change things now!

I'm Canadian, so our Thanksgiving is long past, but I am starting to get stressed about Christmas. We'll be staying with my in-laws across the country for a full week, and it will be impossible for me to follow the diet. I think I can skip breakfast without notice, and I *might* be able to keep lunch not too bad if I buy some microwaveable rice and just quietly eat that while everyone else eats sandwiches...but supper will definitely be out of my control. I don't think I'll have any choice but to eat meat, and it's stressing me out.

It's at my house. It's going to be a bit of a cheat day. I am skipping breafast, eating a light girl friendly lunch. Dinner I will eat lots of cranberry relish, the pear and gorgonzola salad, and probably just a very small serving of stuffing and turkey.

That's great, atomic - unfortunately since I'll be at the in-laws for the whole holiday I won't have any control over my meals, so the recipes won't help me. I'm sure they'll be a big help to others, though!

I'll be at the in-laws in Nova Scotia from December 22nd until the 29th (yikes!), then we'll be home for New Years, so any special New Years meal ideas would be appreciated!
