Hi again,
I am about 1 month into my pink sway. I have 3 boys. When they were conceived 8+ years ago I was on a high fat (cheese and butter) and protein (eggs) vegetarian diet. I am now a vegan but usually eat a nutritionally dense diet. For the sway I have cut the nutritional content of my diet and am eating mostly plain bagels for lunch, plain pasta with vegan butter for dinner, and also Diet Coke to keep from snacking. I’m already a coffee drinker and I’m sticking with it. I did add a little more diversity (veggies, fruits, and sweets) to my diet after ovulation but I plan to cut back again after my monthly cycle starts. I am still low calorie compared to my typical diet. I have drastically cut my calories but the over the last few days my weight loss has stopped. I’m wondering if this is typical PMS gain that I never noticed before. I feel and look thinner. I was low 120s and am now high 1-teens. I’m a little under 5ft 6in. Should I be concerned about the stall in weight loss? I’m also trying to decide if I should attempt in October or November. Mostly because this diet is hell. Thoughts?
Also I exercise about 3-6 times a week. I did not exercise a wink when I conceived my sons. However, my exercise is hot yoga. I really struggle with running injuries so as much as I love it I can’t. My heart rate does increase with yoga. Does yoga sway?
Thanks in advance!

At 5-6 and weight in the high teens you are already below my minimum cutoff of weight loss anyway. Do not lose any more weight and I want you to stop being restrictive during the first part of your diet and just eat a more varied and diverse diet all month long.
Do you have your day's totals on calories, protein, and fat?
The reason the diet seems so terrible is that you're being overly restrictive. plain bagels and plain pasta, ugh! Who can blame you for hating that? It is FINE to have cream cheese on a bagel and sauce on pasta on LE Diet. Now, if you're trying to blend all the various sway diets together, that's ok, but do be aware that yeah that is one rough diet to stick with AND a lot of people ended up with their ovulation stopped or very delayed by being too restrictive.
Over time, on the LE Diet we have restricted less and less and our results have only gone UP. given all this, it just can't be true that you have to be so limited in what you're eating. We have bettter results than ever this past year and most of us are eating tons of fruit and veg and other things too.
How long have you been on diet overall?? 12 weeks or more has gotten better results but anything longer than 6 has been acceptably good.
Hot yoga does tend to be musclebuilding and I have pink swayers restrict that. Can you do walking? Many people just walk for an hour, doesn't ahve to be running to work for you.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thank you so much.
I’m not sure on my calories. I’ve just been so scared of going over the minimum. As far as my intake, some days I’ve been as low as 800 but other more like 1200. I’m guessing that I am getting about 80% carbs, 10% fat, and 10% protein. No snacking.
Maybe I read the information wrong. I thought the important aspect of a pink sway was a limited diet and declining condition. Sounds like you are saying it may just be the absence of excess. Am I understanding correctly?
I have been on the diet 4 weeks. The next time I ovulate it will be 6 weeks on the diet.
I could defiantly cut back on my yoga and add walking. It doesn’t cause me issues.
Thank you so much for your support and guidance. It’s so helpful. I just want to do this as well as I can because it is likely my last chance for a girl.

1200 is the absolute barest minimum and only like 1-3% of swayers should ever go that low. 800 under no circumstances is allowed. Most are on 1500-1800 cals, and a large minority (about 30%) are on 1800-2000 or even 2000-2200 (like if they're very tall, exercise a lot, breastfeeding, etc)
You also need 40 g minimum protein and 30 g minimum fat (and very likely more may be better) Quite a lot of people have 50 g protein and fat as their minimum (60 max)
Yes, the diet is limited and meant to decline your fertility, but you have to be able to get and stay pregnant and continue ovulating. The minimums of the LE Diet are actually more important than the maximums because the minimums are designed (based on recommendations of the World Health Organization and reproductive endocrinologists as a safe pre-pregnancy diet and good level of calorie intake for those who need to lose weight prior to pregnancy) for your health, safety, health/safety of a future pregnancy, and to keep you ovulating regularly and able to conceive. So you can't just restrict as much as you possibly can bear to - you won't conceive on a starvation diet!
I totally understand wanting to feel that you've left no stone unturned but it will all come to naught if you go so hard (unneccessarily, because we have no evidence that stricter on diet is better, and in fact a lot of evidence to the contrary since our results have improved dramatically since we relaxed on diet!) that you can't even get pregnant and/or stop ovulating. Then you'll have to relax and practically sway blue just to get your body working properly again. So much better to start off higher than you think you'll need to be.!!! Thank you so much!!! It’s very interesting that the less restrictive diet has better results. Moderation is hard for me. I’m such an all or nothing kinda gal. I’ll look at the diet information again and try to get a better grasp on the LE diet. I don’t want to starve myself.

I think it has more to do with the effect on the blood sugar levels and not so much the restrictiveness per se.
Moderation is weirdly more difficulat than all or nothing, I agree, but it is necessary for us to have a healthy pregnancy! Please don't hesitate to hit me up with any questions you have on LE Diet.

Thanks so much!
How important is alcohol to the diet? I drink caffeine but don’t really care for alcohol. I will add a little if it plays a big part. If so, what type should I add?
Also sodium, is it as important as the macronutrient ratios you shared?

Alcohol has about 73% success rate right now (140 people responding, so a healthy sample size) and it's been that high pretty much since the first day we started tracking it 6+ years ago. It is totally fine to leave it out but I do think it's a solid tactic.
Whatever kind YOU like. Type doesn't seem to matter - while we have had better results with spirits vs. other drinks, and beer is the lowest result, the sample sizes are so small I don't find these to be helpful. I drank beer when I got my girl.
Sodium isn't important at all. It is biologicaly impossible for it to sway in the way people claim it does (and I have an essay about that here: https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...s-edition.html) Most of us have given up on it and our results are higher than ever before. I got my girl eating tons of it after getting my 4th boy limiting it. Plus it's WAY easier to stick to the diet if you leave that part of it out!!!! Thanks!
With rates that high I’m going to start having a daily drink!
Maybe I need to purchase a membership. I have so many questions that keep popping up.
Also, I’m glad sodium doesn’t sway. It makes LE so much easier. 😊

I always appreciate the memberships if you find the site helpful...it allows me to do this as a full time job instead of having to go back to work.
the alcohol is one thing I did differently between my daughter and my sons and has really seemed to help quite a few people.
Let me know how I can help!!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
