some fast advice please

Hiya, so I have either ovulated or close to it - dtd sat night and last night, cervix is open, mainly creamy cm and ph was low 4's to mid 5's but used replens this am - should we dtd again tonight just incase? This is the month I've lost a lot of weight, although its a full moon we are by the beach so lots of negative ions. Is 1 day enough for lower sperm count, just wonder if dtd tonight aswell as last night would still sway girl incase the replens or jump and dump meant no sperm waiting, or incase I am at 0+12

Another note: cervix now feels closed and firmer and creamy cm, wondering if this is 0+12 so maybe ovulated about 9am this am so may have avoided the boy moon phase by about 6 hours! So if we dtd about 11 hours before ovulation is that dtd the day before o or the day of o? May try tonight again just in case we missed it or something

It's completely up to you whether you want to DTD again tonight - were you planning on one attempt or more? What have you guys been doing to lower sperm count with regards to frequent/abstinence?

I don't think another attempt tonight will do any harm at all provided your pH is already on the low side - worst scenario is that you're too late anyway in which case it won't matter that you tried it

Thanks ladies - decided to leave it so atleast if I do get pregnant I know the winner was most likely from last night, the last time before that was saturday so about 5 to 6 days before ovulation. Ph was 6 again so going to leave it. Praying for a temp rise in the am to confirm ovulation. Went to an indoor raniforest yesterday so fingers crossed there were lots of negative ions there, the beach not long after ovulation too. I think our combined ph after dtd, well actually it was (tmi) what was in my underwear after jump and dump - was 7.3 I think and I used a finger tip of replens before dtd think the ph was around 5 ish but minimal egg white cm, took zirtec 2 hours before dtd and again today on O day. Hmm what else - facial the night before O, didn't eat till 2pm today so after 0, but I ate a chicken burger, few chips and dinner was chicken curry and garlic bread so hoping the egg was fertilised by then! Skipped pudding and will leave brekkie as late as poss. Tomoz and skip lunch ( on holiday so have to have the free brekkie!) Tons of diet coke. Only thing that may let my sway down was abstinance of 5 days instead of 7, diet was low in cals but did have the odd cake or chicken burgern ph was normally in 5's. But till monday I'm going to eat what I fancy but avoid sugary stuff and try to skip 1 meal a day and aim for lower cals where poss.

Sorry I missed this!!

Personally, I tend to err on the side of doing more than one attempt esp. with j and d and jellies being used because I like people to get pg quick rather than lingering on diet for a long time. BUT I think holding back was also perfectly valid and since that's what your heart said to do, that's gotta be what was best!!

Well typically I got ov pains today and was sure it was done yesterday as cervix closed, but today it was open again and ph shot up to high 6's and had no replens left. Did an opk and it was def. Positive, barely any egg white cm though and struggled to get enough to test ph, was mainly creamy. Ov pains stopped and then opk was negative. So in the end we dtd 2 days before ovulation with a 5 day abstinance, and in the full moon with ph ranging anywhere between 5 at times to 7 - destined to have all boys lol, so we are def. Not dtd tonight and I also had a blimmin fry up this am thinking ovulation was done, live and learn I suppose! At least now if I do end up pregnant I will have no hope of it being a girl so won't be dissapointed, and if I don't end up pregnant I have learnt a lot for next month

Yeah thanks, only hope is that we dtd about 2 to 3 days before O when not alot of egg white cm and did the very opposite of how we got the boys, but at least this way Im prepared for a boy if pregnant so wont feel and excitment of a girl and then feel deflated if it isnt :-)
