So we fell pregnant first month trying. But I started to bleed a week later. Bleed a normal AF flow and then had Brown spotting for 10 days after. I have a history of needing an Early MC to get my kids (2 sons, with 2 mc the month before my BFPs, and a third mc without us trying the next month for a kid).
I haven't had a normal AF yet, My BBT is still slightly elevated (36.7, usually att 36.5 att pre-O, and at 36.7-36.9 at post-O). I took an opk (because I hoped it would tell me something about were I am in this cycle) and it came back (almost?) as strong as the test. Suddenly I started to wonder if we should try this cycle or not...
I was not NOT swaying for very long, so I figure it doesn't matter that much in swaying. Question is more: can my body be up for it after bleeding for so long? If my BBT haven't droped is my body really trying to O? If I hadn't been swaying, just normal TTC, I think I would have tried (since I know I easly fall pregnant on concecutive month), but now with added weightloss, and stress I'm just not sure my body will be able to keep up. But I'm really fed up with swaying and balancing my weight etc right now, especially after getting a glimpse of "you can eat whatever you feel like, anytime you might feel like it". What do you guys think??

Im sorry for your loss, hun! Im coming off a miscarriage last month as well, and was in the exact same dilemma. I decided to start trying this first month off the bat even before my first AF. Atomic had told me basically something that made 100% sense to me, is if your body is not up for being pregnant, or not ready, it just wont. Our bodies are great at knowing what should continue and what should not. Thats what got me to decide on it. You can go into it with the mindset if it doesnt happen, it will when its ready and tell yourself if I fall pregnant then great! hope for the best and that means your body will try to continue to proceed with the pregnancy like normal. Since most early miscarriages are chromosonal, not because youre body just couldnt do it. I wouldnt worry about the bleeding, that amount of time is normal and just about exactly how mine went, along with the spotting for days after.
Also, it seems the first cycle after a loss before your period, and the one following the first cycle seem to sway pink in itself. And I was told and read many times on the board around here that having a miscarriage basically takes a toll on your body that it makes up for all the time not spent on the diet, so you do not have to spend months on the diet again, it makes up for it if you catch the first cycle or two. But try to ease back into the diet for now until you know your pregnant forsure, it couldnt hurt. I gained 3 lb in the 2 weeks pregnant right off the bat just from eating normally and I still didnt lose them even though Im back on the diet a few days after MC. I would have loved to drop them since its been 3 weeks but for some reason didnt yet, it didnt stop me from my attempt. I just got, what I think was my first ovulation since my miscarriage and had my attempt, have my fingers crossed so bad. I came to realize just how badly I wanted to try right now, and not wait.
Follow your heart, and hope your body will do the same!
I wish you so much luck and pink dust

Oh gosh I'm so sorry to hear this.
Yes, your body can be ready to conceive. You grow lining from the outside in and you are 2/5 of the way back to normal even while still actively bleeding (let alone spotting). Your body is weirdly smart about things like this - it won't ovulate if it can't get successfully pregnant (and I know there are people online who say otherwise, but they are wrong LOL and I can tell you why if you'd like, it's a fairly involved explanation)
The elevated temp is a bit more mysterious, although I don't put much stock into temps a general rule...particuarly when taken randomly and not as part of a pattern. I find many people have a higher than normal temp the cycle after a loss. Have you taken a pregnancy test?? That wil tell you if there's any HCG in your system still. It's HCG that will inhibit ovulation, not your temps being up, so that would be my suggestion.
As for whetehr or not to try - if you'll live 1000 lifetimes of regret if you try and get an opposite, then wait. But I don't see any reason not to try provided you stick with the one attempt.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I'm sorry I haven't replied sooner. We got sick and it was just a bit much of everything...
Blessedbymybabies, I'm sorry for your loss too! I will hold my fingers crossed for a sticky bean for you too! (How long have you been trying?) And thanks for input! It makes much sense that if the body isn't ready it will not get pregnant. But then again, it might just set me up for another mc, since my body is just not ready for it.
I'm not all too worried about my time of the diet. And you shouldn't either. MC takes a toll on the body, and since you were pregnant longer, you had more reason to eat a little more.
I didn't go crazy or anything with going off the diet, but it was nice with not having to worry about having a mini-mincepie or gingerbread cookies for christmas (or well, in advance, while making them really). I dropped the exercise/walks though... I do feel guilty about that. And since I had relatives staying for Christmas I didn't start again after realizing I was MCing. So it's 3 weeks off now... sighs. I will start gradually this next week propably. Have only gained 1 pound while gearing up to O otherwise, so not that bad (which made me take the O-test in the first place really, usually gain 1 pound for AF and O/or stop lossing weight, so I wondered why I suddenly was gaining weight).
Atomic, yes, I have taken hcg-tests after the bleeding started, one with very faint line and the last one completely lacking a second line. (Funny thing though was I took one while getting positive LH-tests, just to be sure, and it came back faintly positive, never heard it could but I've heard the other way around that LH-test can be positive if PG)(quick search on Google told me though that it could happen, even if not very well known)
The high temp is a mystery to me too. I checked my previous MCs charts and I have had higher temps, but they always drop down before O even if the temps seem to be higher and more erractic than general.
Another thing that was completely new to me was O pains. I have never really have had that before, but this time my body really gave it all it got. Lol, weird.
...And if people wonder. Yes. We did manage to squeeze in a try, right before everybody got sick. I thought if my body was trying so hard gearing up for O with O pains and all, really wanting me to get pregnant, I shouldn't waste it's efforts.

great. I'm totally on board with everything you did, and I think you did the right thing trying and when you tried.
