My way of cutting down on protein and fat while trying to get full is to eat lots of fruits and veggies with meals. It occurred to me that I’m getting a lot of good fruit and veggie vitamins. Is that ok? Or should I be trying to fill up with food items that include fewer nutrients? I’m eating some Sarah lee honey wheat bread because that’s what’s my kids eat-should I change to white bread? I’m staying within all the limits with protein, fat, and calories, I just want to make sure I don’t need to cut down on other nutrients besides protein (and fat).

Yes! We originally started off thinking fruit and veg might sway blue and limited to the lower nutrient ones (and some still do) but over time we found that it was the big three - fat, protein, and calories that really sway, and limiting those, plus fortified foods and vitamins, yielded a really effective sway. We let go of the fruit and veg limits and our results are higher than ever.
