I am betting they were trying to adopt a girl or girls and this mixup happened. What a wake up call. Different countries have different issues.

I didn't really understand the story very well--they had the kids out to lunch and they were arrested?

I thought they were adopting 4 siblings and then had 2 children of their own? I haven't read the article you posted, just going off info from a friend who has adopted a girl and a set of twins from Congo.

Yes, they have two bio sons and are adopting a set of four siblings. They are out of prison now and are back to pursuing the adoption, regardless of circumstances.
