Are you eating 1500-1800 calories?? If you are and still losing weight faster than you want, bump up to 1800-2000 cals, stay at 40-50 g protein and 25-60 g fat.
I think sometimes your body just needs to transition onto it so be a little forgiving of yourself for a few days until your body adjusts to the lower blood sugar. it's actually a sign that it IS doing what you want, but low blood sugar can make people crabby until their body adjusts.!!! Hi,
same here. Am on it for 1 week now and am very tired and feel crappy because I usually already have low blood sugars and now I'm guessing they even lower at some parts during the day than usual which needs some getting used to. I also lost 8 pounds in the first few days, but now the weight loss slowed down a lot.
Hang in there

Hoping some others chime in here but most people have gotten used to it after a week or two.

It takes a while for your body to get used to it.... about 3-4wks you will notice a big change. It is a good sign because if your mood wasn't changing then you would need to adjust the diet.

Then that is not the Low Everything Diet, that is starvation and no wonder you don't feel very well! The lowest anyone should ever go for calories is 1200-1500, and that's ONLY for people who are either very petite and already eat 1500-1800 cals and conceive boys on it, or else people with a lot of weight to lose.
If you don't eat enough calories, you lose weight. That's just how the body works! Lose too much weight, the solution is eat more calories.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Yes, it is definitely something that you can and will get adjusted to. I am one of those who had to drop to lower calorie amounts (in the 1200 range) because I'm pretty short (5 ft 2.5 inches) and I wasn't losing any weight on the higher end (I started at 107 lbs and am now steady at around 98ish lbs). So I am no longer actively losing weight, but I'm hoping that I'm at a thin enough point that that itself sways pink. I'd say it's at least two or three pounds lighter than I was when I conceived my two sons. If the weight is falling off you really fast, I'd say up your empty calories to slow it a bit. You don't know how soon you'll get pg, so you don't want to leave yourself no place to go.
Early on, the low blood sugar made me grumpy and sometimes a bit desperate feeling (DO NOT get in my way when it's time for me to finally eat one of my meals! lol), but I did adjust. Sometimes when I'm at work and I have less than an hour to go until I can eat lunch, I do feel a bit unmotivated, not as sharp as usual ... but I figure that low blood sugar will do that to a person. So hopefully it means the diet is doing what it's supposed to.
What's funny is that I do notice on a day where I have a cheat (for example, we went out to eat with my parents yesterday for lunch and I had 3/4 of a grilled cheese sandwich, iceburg lettuce with honey mustard and half a slice of Reese's cream pie), I feel so frickin' good the rest of the day!! It's as if my body is rolling around in the extra calories like a pig in mud!2005
