    Confused Stress and gender

I am a mom of 4 boys, 16, 9, 20 months and 4 months, so stress is a natural part of my day, although I do try and blow a lot off, it seeps into my days once in a while. Does life stress, normal life stress and not the kind of stress that increase adrenaline, increase testosterone? I have always said I have more testosterone than my husband and joked about it, but it worries me with swaying for a girl. I did not stress over conceiving, rather I left it to God. I do not freak out or ponder things obsessively so my stress levels are manageable and normal I guess...Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

It can, but at some point with swaying, you have to let go of worrying about every little thing like day to day stress because you can't control it anyway and obsessing about it WILL raise T!!

If you can avoid things like, sporting events (even as an observer), playing on the Wii, and stuff like that, that's all you need to do.

Okay...I don't do any of that because it raises my adrenaline and that raises T...I did have a scare though prior to Oing where my 20 month old took off for the creek behind our house...I was so scared I was shaking...Fence going up Thursday. I suffered from panic attacks in 2006 that were horrible and prevented me from getting pregnant. After I stopped them, yes...I stopped them, I got pregnant the next month. Adrenal glands run on progesterone and it was depriving my pregnancies of what they needed to continue and I had 5 m/cs, chemicals in 8 months. I am very careful about stress now. Thanks for the reply

EVERYONE, boy mom and girl mom alike, has those sort of crises and challenges and those things are unavoidable and ok (except of course I"m glad you're getting that fence!!!)

Control what you can easily control and leave the rest in God's hands, because that's where it lies anyway!!

I'm a stressy type, alway's looking over my shoulder and watching my boys to keep them save. I'm also a chronical hyperventilator and something tells me that's the reason I have 5 boys! I'm trying to be more relaxed but it's very hard with 5 boys, rebuilding the house and a tough job!

Im sure I took something to try to lower testosterone and so did OH, I think it helped a little, can't remember the supp. name, Im sure someone knows, or what about the flower remedies you can put on your tongue. I naturally have higher testosterone due to PCOS but in pregnancies I def. notice Im more snappy and stressy and have had all boys.

Well..I had suffered for a few years simply because my blood sugar dropped one day and I almost passed out...panic set in and it never left. I was not able to function on many levels because of the attacks. No one knew I was suffering from them. One day, they hit badly. I went upstairs away from my family and cried..I got in the shower and I cried and sobbed to God that I could no longer go on. I told Him that I could not live anymore, because they were so horrible. I got out..laid down on the bed and pulled out my bible. I asked Him like I always do when I have a problem, "Let this bible open where you want to teach me." and it opened to 1 Peter 4 and onto 5:
1 Peter 4 (New International Version)

    1 Peter 4

    New International Version (NIV)
    Living for God

4 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. 2 As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 3 For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. 4 They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you. 5 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings who also will share in the glory to be revealed: 2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; 3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,

    “God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”[a]

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

I cried the whole time reading and realized that God has melted me down to nothing...I was on my knees and also realized that the devil was really trying to destroy me...I stood up, wiped away the tears and held information as my sword and shield. They tried a few times to cme back but not ever completely...I had them in my control. That's my story.
