I've got a sneaking suspicion in addition to my Hashi's I also have Hughes syndrome. I'd been researching auto-immune diseases for the last few months and just from what I can see visually, Hughes might play a part. I have that ugly marbling on my arms (as does my oldest who is also hypo, but my other 3 do not)
I brought up a few concerns to my ob nurse 2 weeks ago at my annual about how my period goes strong for 4 days, stops for 1 then comes back for 2. (this *used* to be heavy for 2 days, stop for 1 then back for 1, but the health kick is working and it's a longer cycle, but I digress...)
So, that being said, she told me that when it's stopping it's clotting and then dissolves, then flows again. I decided to test this with baby aspirin. I started taking it 2 days before AF and every day during. It seems to have done the trick, I didn't stop once, though it did get lighter as expected. I will be bringing that up to the endo.
Does this make sense to anyone? Am I right in my thinking?
