Hi, you can call me Inky.
I'm 27, married for 9 years coming this December, and a homeschooling mother of 3. I have two boys and a girl (born boy, girl, boy). Both my boys are on the autism spectrum. Of my two half brothers, one has autism and one has aspergers. Of my 3 male cousins, 2 had learning disabilities growing up. I love my boys and don't mind being a mom to children with autism, but I admit it's not something I would WISH for my kids to have to grow up with. So, we're hoping for a girl this time around. We can't afford PGD. Seems like a lot of money to pay when there's no guarantee you'll even get pregnant! If there was a way they could do it for like $5,000, as many tries as it takes to get pregnant, I'd be all over that. Oh well, guess they can get away with charging that muchSO here I am!
We made our first attempt last night because I though I was ovulating then (I use OPKs, charting, CP, and CM to determine) so I thought I was at O+12, but then I had REALLY bad O pains today so I probably actually O'd today. We tried today, too. I'm actually kind of hoping I didn't get pregnant now though because I feel like the attempt wasn't as strong as it could be. Anyway, I'd love to discuss my sway attempt, learn more about swaying, and hopefully offer something helpful/some support to others who are swaying as well. Can anyone tell me what is the best board to discuss swaying on here? I'm swaying for a girl if that makes any difference
Thanks for reading about me. I look forward to meeting you all.

Welcome Inky! I understand the feeling of wanting to conceive, but not this time as I only found this website a few days after ov last month and hadn't done any swaying (for a girl). I was pleased when af arrived and I've now been on the LE diet - strictly- for 3 weeks. I've lost 9lb and am worried now that I've lost too much too quickly! I'm a home-schooling Mummy too. I have 2 boys, 5 & 3 years respectively and I'm 30 years old. I live in the UK. Have you started to formulate a sway plan?

Hey, dream
Nice to meet another Homeschooling mama
Wow on losing 9lbs. My weight doesn't seem to budge these days no matter what I do. This month was my first sway attempt, but I guess I messed it up because it was also my first month on clomid and I didn't know you aren't supposed to use all the sway tactics on clomid. So I probably won't get pregnant at all. Better luck for me next cycle, I guess (and hope!).
I'm thinking that next month I'm just going to diet w/the Clomid, and then try to BD at O-5, O-4, O-3, O-2, O-1, O, and O+1 My husband will be in heaven, or quickly sick of me. If I don't get pregnant on this cycle or next, I'll be off clomid and will go back to my old swaying plan.

Hi Inky. I understand your reasoning for wanting another girl. My oldest is on the spectrum, high functioning. My second son seems to be okay so far and not on the spectrum at all but even so I would feel better about my chances of a neuro-typical child if I were pregnant with a girl. Dh and I actually talked about if DS2 had signs we weren't going to have anymore because we didn't want to chance it but then Ds2 seemed normal so now we tried for our girl! Good luck to you!

Hello Inky! I am a newbie here too. I recently joined because I didn't know about this site when we were TTC a little girl. I got pregnant our second month of swaying. We were both of diets, I made my PH levels around a 4, and we only had sex on O-4,O-3, and BAM!!!! Pregnant. We are hoping
won that race.
