Hello!
I'll be TTC (swaying girl) starting in December. However, I plan to continue OrthoEvra up until that point. Is there anything I should keep in mind or will this affect my sway at all? I think I've heard that OrthoEvra is higher in estrogen than oral bc? I'm not sure how that affects pink.
I'm currently taking supps, following the diet recommendations, etc in the meantime so I'll be "ready" as soon as my last patch comes off. Just curious if the fact that I'm still on bc is going to negate all of my efforts...or if it matters.
Also, should I obstain from all wine or alcohol for TTC girl? Swaying pink during the holidays is going to be difficult!
PS - the reason I'm waiting to take the patch off is b/c my Dr said the first month off of BC is your most fertile (and I don't want to get pg until December at the earliest for personal reasons). Plus this seems to be true for me as both of my sons were conceived my first month off BC. If I go off now and just "play it safe" unitl Dec I'm worried my cycle will start to become very irregular as is typical for me off BC.

How will OrthoEvra affect my sway?

Hormonal birth control tends to sway pink by harming the cervical crypts that make cervical mucus. I don't think your doctor is correct in his/her assertion about fertility coming off the pill, however. The biggest and best study found absolutely no difference in rates of pg between women who had never been on BCP and women who had just come off it.
You can def. have alcohol while swaying pink. Great low-nutrient source of potassium.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thanks so much for your reply! I've been reading and reading as much as I can on this site. I actually thought my dr's assertion about the fertility after bc was off too. She also gave me Shettles advice...which was another theory I haven't been sold on. From what I've read it seems like you don't think timing (Shettles) is all that important? I'm focusing mostly on diet, supplements and will be using Replens and perhaps even spermicide prior to our attempt. There is so much great info on here I'm trying to keep notes to keep track of it all!!

This is the case against timing. I do not think it sways at all and in fact Dr. Shettles' claims have been totally debunked with newer research.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
