Hey, I'm a newbie and I really need diet ideas because low protein doesn't really mean much to me. The only thing I can think of is yoghurt and fruit!
Plus I have a bowel disorder so sometimes my food doesn't process properly. How many calories do you recommend??
Thanks Jas x

most ladies on here have found that the LE diet seems logical, you can read about it here... and if you become a dream member there are more meal ideas and info about it in the private section:

or you can read meal ideas on here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...lp-strict.html

Well, it's not really LOW protein, it's low-ER protein. You still need 40-50 g protein a day for a healthy pg. 1500-1800 cals a day is just right for most people.
I just wrote a bit about what my diet looked like when I conceived DD in this thread http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...y-le-diet.html
With your bowel disorder I would be esp. careful to make sure you're getting enough fat. Most people eat 25-60 g fat (20-30% of cals from fat) and I think you should aim at the high end because you may not absorb it all. You may want to use full-fat yogurt instead of the skim kind - if you don't absorb any fat you will stop ovulating. Also, I'd not have you use the fiber supp that some people take. Do be sure to use probiotic if that's compatible with your health.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I have had a glance at that, thanks Atomic. It's really hard with bowel disorder. My Fitness Pal said 1200 calories, will that be dangerous?

I'd aim to eat more, if you'd only be getting 1200 calories. It's not healthy to eat that little.. and whilst we want "declining condition" you don't want "permanent health damage"
