Hey gals, thought you might be interested in this article I was just reading on Cracked.com:
7 Life Altering Decisions Made For You (Before Your Birth) | Cracked.com
Mom's diet influencing gender is #3 on the list on page 2. I'm kinda freaked out about #5 myself, but it's not really a surprise either. :P
Keep in mind that Cracked.com is a humor/satirical website, but their articles are scientifically well researched and based on true studies. I love that gender swaying is getting into main****** media!

Hey Lace, this is great article. I like the tongue-in-cheek way it's written and at least I don't need to worry about liquorice making our next baby stupid as it's not recommended on the LE diet and I've got out of the habit of eating it! I do love Liquorice allsorts and liquorice & peppermint tea though. It seems like the GD way is becoming a bit more dominant in the media as opposed to the more IG traditional sways....

It's kinda fascinating reading the comments too. Lot of doubters in the general public about this stuff, that's for sure!
Be warned though, Cracked.com is seriously addicting and a ridiculous time waster. I won't tell you how many hours I've wasted on there since I found it. :PMe (38) and DH (38)

I'm testing on Sunday, so I've promised myself a 'cheat' meal for the first time in 6 weeks in the evening, whatever the result (which I think will be negative, despite me willing for symptoms!).
I'm so having just one portion of fish and chips sunday evening. It'll keep me going for another 6 weeks!

That's funny licorice was one of the only foods I craved in pregnancy. I didn't go overboard but I ate a bit. My boys are both very bright though (I know every parent says that). But my 4yo could tell you about hydrolyics in diggers before he was 3 and my 22month old knows all his colours and shapes and both have a very large vocabulary for their ages (they basically taught themselves these things we don't do those baby brain training things). Maybe they would be smarter if I hadn't eaten any?
