Has anyone ever gotten Lab test done to check Calcium, sodium&potassium before ttc a girl? I did last week and my results were:
Calcium: 9.4 Normal range 8.7-10.2
Sodium: 137 Normal range 134-144
Potassium:4.1 Normal range 3.5-5.2
My Doctor said everything looks normal. But doesn't these levels need to be on the low side when ttc girl? My calcium level is on the high end. I do not take calcium pills but i do drink milk like 1-2 cups a day.
Results 1 to 5 of 5

If you want to lower calcium I would cut out the milk. The lactose in real milk makes the calcium more absorbable (lol, is that a word?)...

I had my natural hormone levels tested before we had any children (whilst I was still at uni) and was told my hormone levels were on the low end of normal and I was borderline/mild PCOS. I don't have PCOS, but think that must have meant that I had quite high testosterone levels... and now have 2 boys!

Yes, one of our members did just that http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...odium-etc.html She was a believer in calcium at first but then after several weeks on a traditional sway diet, her levels did not change at all and her sodium level went UP.
She went on to conceive a girl but I think she dropped the mineral balancing and just did the LE Diet.
1-2 cups a day is just fine. Your calcium doesn't look on the high end to me, it looks just about in the middle. You actually can't change the levels of calcium in your blood anyway, your body just takes all it needs from your bones and teeth to make up for it and if you try and take calcium to up your blood calcium levels, your body just stores it in your bones and pees out the excess.!!!
