Hi Ladies,
Just thought I would post, as I currently have two DS and would really like a DD, me and my DW tried to sway last year twice, by doing the Shettles method (3day cut off, me tight pants and hot bath before we BD). Unfortunately both ended up in MC, we have since seen a miscarriage specialist who can help and has put my DW on lots of vits etc. Before the miscarriages my DW was desperate to have a DD but now is just desperate to get pregnant and for it to stick. I on the other hand really do want a DD, I guess both my DS are mummy boys and until they get older they will always be closer to my DW.
My DW is on board with the whole swaying, I have been reading lots of peoples successful attempts with swaying, from what I can gather the EL diet is pretty key but alot of threads where DH has taken licorice root and mag/calc seem to stand a better chance of having a girl, whereas when the DH is not really on board some seem to fail. Also abstinence for 7+ days and 3/2 day cut off and O+12 seem to be key
If we were to have a successful pregnancy next, we have a name for both genders, as guess we both think it will be a boy.
My DW is watching her calorie intake at present but due to her job does not get a break during the day, so always has breakfast is it best to have cereal (read somewhere not recommended) or to have toast with peanut butter (read peanut butter was good for swaying girl)
I was also wondering if anyone had any good recipe ideas for girl swaying as a lot of food now has sodium in
If anyone could give me advice I would really appreciate it

Hi and welcome!
Cereal is a no no, it is fortified with lots of healthy vitamins and minerals. The aim of LE (Low Everything Diet) is for the body to think times are hard, it is low nutrient.
I'm not great with recipes, tend to stick to the same boring meals. Lunch tends to be a Philadelphia Light sandwich (white bread) and dinner a stir fry (courgette, peeled, mushrooms, leeks, rice noodles or white rice). There are areas on here where people post their meal ideas, maybe that would help?
Good luckDS12010

Hey welcome aboard
My DH is onboard, he is taking Licorice root and cranberry tablets twice daily from the first day of my cycle (period) to the 14 day mark or first positive ovulation predictor (OPK) also a calcium and magnesium tablet once a day. He has cut meat and eggs from his diet (with the odd cheat) and will be abstaining for 7 days before our attempt. (Which will be once at positive OPK) Hot baths and tight pants are also on the list for reducing male fertility, you've done that one alreadyHe is smoking also but if your not a smoker, don't start! I just stopped him quitting at new year for the time being ;D
Good luck!

Hi happypixi,
Thanks for the reply, is smoking supposed to increase chances of a girl?
Sound like we are on the same page regarding swaying, I have ordered LR just waiting to come through the post
Do you view Chinese chart predictions?
Can I ask how many Cranberry tablets/LR your DH is taking? and what strength they are?
I will order calcium and mag I think, what strength are these also
Do you think that DH has quite a big sway? and sorry about the questions is your DH just as keen as you for a DD?

I am 7 weeks pregnant and here is what DH and I did:
I took Metamucil with 1-2 meals a day.
I skipped breakfast
Tried to stick to the boundaries of the LE diet.
Took 1800mcg of folic acid since I just had two early miscarriages
Used acijel at our attempt
DH took 2 pills a day of 350/175 mg cal/mag, 3 pills a day of 420mg cranberry, 3 pills a day from AF-O of 450mg of LR.
I did things differently with my first daughter...but with her too I used acijel at attempt. Hope I have a sister for her!
And I hope you and DW get a girly!Thank you God and Our Lady

I'd have to check the doses, but they're both from Holland and Barrett (are you UK?)
Smoking reduces fertility so sways girl, anything that reduces fertility sways girl and visa versa
I think his sway is as good as it can get really, he's doing everything I've asked him to do bless him (he even said he thinks his balls have shrunk hahaha!)
He has a daughter from a previous relationship, he would be happy with either, it's mostly for meI'd be happy with either too, just extra specially happy to have a different flavour next time

Hi happypixi,
Yeah I am uk based, so holland and Barrett is close. Gd job DH is on board. Do u u mind is your DH older than 35 as they claim abstaining for 7 days can cause birth defects? I am younger than this only by a few years but does show a little bit more success!
Do u know of anyone that has had a successful sway?
Hope you get your DD

Unfortunately my DH won't take any supplements, he is happy for me to sway but it stops there.
We are also UK, i also bought the majority of my supplements from Holland and Barrett, anything I couldn't find in there I ordered from Amazon.
We are both in our early 30s, last month we abstained and had 1 attempt at +OPK resulted in a BFNthis month we are going to BD through ovulation.
There are quite a few ladies on here that have had successful sways and got there DReam Gender, can be very reassuring!DS12010
