Maybe something to do with blood flow. I get a shooting pain in my butt cheek sometimes, turns out my uterus is pressing on a nerve.

I get that too, never knew what it was, assumed it was normal since I have gotten it with all three pregnancies.

I get that too. It was worst with my 2yo but has started earlier with this one.

Mom to a blended family of 5 kids (3 boys, 2 girls), with one more due in late May 2013. We swayed for a girl, but have a sweet baby boy on the way.

Ok ive been having a look around on google and it seems there are similar things going on with other women, there is one condition called symphisis pubis dysfunction or SPD but i think that is more in the pubic bone region. It may be caused from varicose veins on your vulva. Or it is simply a swollen vagina caused by progesterone, the swelling is just blood and fluid and sitting down for a while kind of squishes all the blood away, then when you stand it rushes back in causing pain. Its totally normal and quite common.
