I've been pregnant twice and it's take 2-3 months and one was a CP. I would like to start trying next month because of my conception history but am a little worried. I always take prenatals before trying but this time dh has been on a multi-vitamin and other supplements that are supposed to be helping the sperm. I think this may affect how quickly we conveive this time. Does anyone have advice or a similar experience? Does conception generally take the same amount of time each time?

No, it is different every time. Could be faster, could be slower.

Did you do anything different this time that you think could have affected the time it took to get pregnant? I am trying to remind myself that timing doesn't matter but I find myself wanting to bd on O only which I know can make it take a lot longer.

The first 2 pregnancies we were DTD every 2nd day through the whole cycle (i didnt know about swaying back then) This time (swaying blue) we did that timing a few times, DTD 3 times in fertile window, really lots of DTD trying to get pregnant and in the end it was a OHW that got us there. I have no clue why it took so much longer this time especially because i was eating much better and exercising and taking supps, just one of those things i guess.

I'm sorry to keep asking questions but Cinss, do you know if you bd near O or had you abstained for 4 days or however long some people recommend? We are bd every 2-3 days in preparation (much to my hubby's enjoyment) and I'm debating what to do the first month. I figured since I don't really want to get pregnant, I can use it as a test month.

No problem, well i pretty much gave up on charting, opks, etc after 8 months of bfns. We were just DTD when we both felt in the mood i had AF from CD1 - CD5, dtd CD6, CD9 and CD12. On CD12 i noticed ewcm and i was more in the mood than DP so we got frisky, i thought at the time it was way to early for me to O because normally i would O on CD18, but with my dating scans etc i did actually O on or around CD12.

Regular exposure to your husband's semen (as in, NOT just BD on O) may sway blue by letting your body "know" somehow that there is a dad around and it's not just a hit and run LOL.

I promise, promise, promise that you do NOT need to BD one time on ovulation to get a boy. I have 3 of 4 boys conceived with numerous BD every 1-4 days (2 with cutoff, one I'm not sure when exactly I got him) and the 4th boy was a OHW with a cutoff of at least 3 days. Then I got my girl BD every 4-5 days, one attempt late at night before O day, confirmed by ultrasound so there is no way I got it wrong.
Timing has been totally debunked and you can read about it here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...le-timing.html!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
