I'm on CD14 (I have 28 day cycles) and I have yet to get a +OPK. This happened to me last month - however I ran out of strips on the end of day 14 so I stopped testing.
I've barely had an EWCM.. just one amount this morning but now it's back to being more sticky. My temp spiked on CD13 but dropped this morning (I think it was just a fluke as I was really really warm when I woke up) so haven't seen much on my chart (1st month of charting)
If I normally have 28day cycles.. shouldn't I have had a +OPK by now? I normally have cramping and EWCM, but this month I've had almost nothing so far. I'm worried the diet and weight loss is messing everything up. Anyone else with a 28day cycle ovulate later than day 14?

When are you taking the opks?
I do one at 2pm, and one at 10pm, every day until I get a positive. I tend to have short surges so can miss them if I don't test twice a day.
With a 28 day cycle you could ovulate up to cd18 (giving you a luteal phase of 10 days) and still get pregnant, so it wouldn't be unusual for it to be later than 14 days.
With it being your first charting cycle, it's hard to know what is usual for you, if that makes sense! Are you checking your cervix?

Between 7pm and 11am you have 16 hours, imo that's more than enough time to have missed your surge if you had a short one. Are your opks completely blank or do they have a faint line or anything?

The first one I took had a faint line. Then I used 3 smiley face ones all negative, then today I used two pink dye ones again and they both had faint lines.
I find it hard because you aren't supposed to use FMU but then have to wait 4 hours until next test. My temps haven't showed O though...

My opks show the best in the morning. I get up 5ish and test about 9. If I test again in the afternoon, its not positive. Then I test following morning, and again positive. You may TRY morning depending on what time you get up. I don't drink alot of coffee or anything in the morning so I don't worry too much about concentration but I dump it if its too clear.

~ALSO~ the brand does matter. Its just like pg tests. I googled all this today...test sensitivity of ovulation tests
What I have discovered from Consumer Reports etc is Answer brand is horrible, ClearPlan Easy is supposed to be the best. Personally, I have the best luck with Up and Up brand found at Target. But you hve to be careful because what you *think* is a positive is NOT, if you hold tight till the next day, where it will be SUPER DUPER positive
I am not a cervix checker either...but sometimes when you just need to know WTF is going on, it isn't a bad idea. BD if its very high, soft, open. Just in case. The pee sticks drive me mad. The cervix doesn't lie.
