    Breast pump

Has anyone used the hygeia enjoye or the Phillips Avent comfort dual breast pumps? We can choose one of these with our insurance but I'm honestly not familiar with either. Thanks!

I had an avnet manual and my friend had an agent and she really likes it... I had a medela swing with ds3 and it didn't work for me well I have low supply due to a breast reduction so this time I am renting the hospital grade pump cause it emptied u in like 2 mins flat and having 4 kids I will need something quick

I wonder why they limit the choices to those two? Anyway, I have always used the medela which has done the trick for me.

I'm concerned with the time it takes to pump too. In addition to the 3 kids of my own, I watch 2 others so I need something quick too. But, if I go with one of these 2 models my insurance pays 100% percent of the cost and I get to keep it.

Threelittlemen I registered for a Phillips Avent with my son and I loved it. I tried to bf with him but he never latched properly so I just pumped so that he would get the benefit of the breast milk. However, he ended up being lactose intolerant so he ended up on soy. I loved the pump. It wasn't hospital grade fast but I would say I got 4-5oz per breast in about 5 or 6 minutes. The cushions are super comfy and flexible and they do kind of massage the breast as you are pumping.

Anchor Medela is a great brand also! I think Medela is also the most trusted brand also. I registered for the Avent with my son (3 years ago) only because the cushions looked so soft and comfy and I LOVED it! How are the cushions on the Medela? The Avent has soft flexible cushions that massage as you pump. I was NEVER in any discomfort with it.

LOL, no the medela doesn't have any massaging cushions, but the image is making me laugh I just liked that it was fast for me. Unfortunately neither of my bubs EVER TOOK A BOTTLE! Can you believe that? I got to the point where I could bf while walking. I'm laughing again.

Super hilarious Anchor! My bubs on the other hand took any type of bottle but the only one that kept his reflux and gas under control was the Dr. Brown's. Yes the one with a gazillion parts. I kept them so if I need them for my daughter I will have them. I also have one Avent natural that I received for free as a special offer through Motherhood Maternity and I saw these mOmma bottles by Lansinoh that are supposed to be good for the breastfed baby. I registered for one set. We shall see...

Oh I have every bottle ever made in the history of bottles! Dr. Brown's, Nuby, I even had one that actually looked like a boob. Everyone kept saying "try this bottle, try that nipple". To no avail. I still consider myself quite educated when it comes to pumping, but no experience when it comes to getting it in their bellies. Lol.

Oh Anchor I am sure you have done a pretty good job getting it in their bellies as well. I am assuming you didn't have to go back to work or that you are a stay at home mom? That is actually my biggest fear...getting the breastfeeding down pat and then screwing it up when I have to go back to work. I mean it just seems like a lot of planning to ensure that you are up and dressed, kids dressed, baby b'fed before leaving for daycare, packing enough milk for the day, then ensuring that the baby isn't starving on the way home but at the same time that the daycare didn't just feed them so you can empty your breast when you are reunited with baby. I'm exhausted thinking about it, lol
