If I am not having a girl this time (this is my third pregnancy and I already have two boys) I want to consider gender selection.. Dh seems open to it, the only thing that shocked him was the cost..but he realized since I want a girl so much its worth the price. has anyone else considered this?

You might try the HT section of Gender Dreaming.
That is the type of stuff they discuss on there.
Good luck!

I hope for your sake you are getting a girl but if not, HT is an option to consider but certainly not an easy one. Even if you have fallen pregnant easily before HT, IVF is a hard and expensive road with no guarantee of falling pregnant. But it is cheaper than raising a child you didn't want, even if you love them dearly.
I personally did one cycle of IVF and it failed but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as physically horrible as I thought it would be.
Would have done it again if finances/circumstances allowed.
Took 7 months of swaying and a lot of stress to get pregnant and I did get a girl after 3 boys but was far more stressful.

I had my 4th DS 2 years ago and DH and I chose to move forward with HT to have our DD someday. There are lots of ways to finance the cost including; loans, credit cards, using your income tax return, tapping your IRA for medical need (no penalty) and even your 401k / 403b. If having a balanced family is something that you're desperate for than its worth the $10,000-$30,000+ in the long run! If DH is on board you're already moving in the right direction! Good luck with your u/s, I hope you get your DD!

Crazy....no!!! I say go for it if your hubby is on board....and enjoy both the baby within you and then the thought of still having a girl...unless this is your sweet pink bundle!!

You should do it if it feels right for you. I think its better than having extreme gender disappointment that many people have and become really depressed ( I dont know if that would happen for you but feeling well is worth so much more than money )(if you have it hihi) I dont think any child deserves to be called "failed sway" (even though they are really loved) Go for it if you can
I dont think you are crazy at all. Congratulations on your pregnancy!
