    Questions for my attempt.

After looking into HT, we've decided we are going to try the natural route first. Keeping my fingers crossed. Planning my girl sway for late July/August.

    1. I'm planning on using Rephresh...I just want to make sure I am getting this correct. Use a 1/2 tube 3 days BEFORE attempt? Then I am wondering if I am supposed to use any after attempt? We are doing a 10 days abstinence with a 2/3 day cut off.

    2. Caffeine...this girl loves her one shot of espresso latte a day. Since caffeine leaves the body so quickly, couldn't I just cut it out the 4-5 days before my attempt? (the latte is the only caffeine I consume)

    3. Skipping breakfast. I already have a fairly low calorie diet and am thin. Every time I lose weight or cut down calories more I don't ovulate. I am a little worried about skipping breakfast for a long period of time and freaking my body out to where I don't ovulate. Since blood sugar adjusts daily, could I skip breakfast 3 days before my attempt and would this still give my girl a chance?

    4. Lastly, with a 2/3 day cut off, is there anything else I should be doing besides rephresh? I do plan on taking zyrtec the day before and then until I ovulate. Just wondering if there is anything else besides continuing diet that I should do.

This is stressful planning! I am trying not to overwhelm myself...thanks for any help!

Overall, your diet and the ratios of sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium are critical for your success. If you want a girl, you have to stick to a low sodium/potassium diet and really up your calcium and magnesium intake. The old diet is very restricting and if you want more options, you could take a look at he French Gender diet. They have breakfast included on that diet!

    Hi and welcome!!

1)Yes, use the RepHresh BEFORE your attempt. It doesn't have to be 3 days before (and in fact it prob. shouldn't with a cutoff). It works for about 3 days after using it, so using it the day before a cutoff attempt should keep your pH good until you O.

2)I ~personally~ don't think that caffeine is that big a deal for swaying and almost all the people I know with lots of girls are total caffeine junkies, but if you are a big believer in the minerals/French Gender Diet, then you HAVE to cut it out because it causes calcium to leave your body.

3)Blood sugar is most important right around O and in the several days AFTER O. (Yes you read that right.) This is because XX fertilized eggs seem to do better in a lower glucose environment. So if you really can't stick to the skipping breakfast, starting 3 days before O is FINE, and you may even want to do it for a week after O too. Note - if your ovulation is supressed, that's a sign that your fertility is decreased and your body may be more likely to conceive pink. So that's not necessarily a terrible thing (I know that sounds crazy!!)

4)That all depends on how serious you are about swaying. There are some people who might add in spermicide, jump and dump, or even TBM to an attempt but I ~personally~ think that RepHresh plus Zyrtec, abstinence, and cutoff is PLENTY!! This is esp. true since you seem sensi to changes in diet - for you, I suspect that the shorter a time you are on the diet, the better.

Please note, though, that the French Gender Diet IS old. All the stuff having to do with testosterone and blood glucose (weight loss, skipping breakfast, low cal/low protein/lowfat) is newer and the French Gender Diet researchers didn't know about any of it when they designed that diet. So it's not that they looked at skippping breakfast and disregarded it because they didn't think it worked, they didn't include it because they didn't know about it.

I agree totally. When you know better, you do better.

Thanks ladies for all of your input. I am going to start my diet after memorial day weekend! Going to N. Carolina for a wedding and I'm sure will be drinking and eating all kinds of foods I shouldn't be!! hehe! Keeping fingers crossed for my girl someday.

oh one more thing...atomic...do you believe in the ion influencing swaying and also the moon? seems a little crazy, but i did buy a salt rock lamp back a few months ago. My chinese calendar says boy the rest of the year!! but predicted I get a girl with my first, which was not true. just wondering your opinion.

I don't believe in ions BUT I figure, if you can afford a lamp or bracelet and it makes you feel good, go for it.

THe moon thing is more complicated because it may actually have some effect in issues fertility, which means it could potentially sway (not the ions, the idea is that ovulation with the full moon may boost fertility due to ancient sensitivies to light) - plz read http://genderdreaming.com/forum/show...21-Lunaception
