Hiya ladies,
Well ive been MISERABLE since my rubbish scan on Saturday which didn't really show anything.
I have a gender scan booked for 9th August and am debating having another general scan tomorrow to see if I can get a better nub shot.
Should I bother or leave it for 2 1/2 weeks until the gender scan???
The only thing which is bothering me is I have read that too many scans can affect the baby... that's worries me...
Anyone have any knowledge on this?
Please advise ladies!

No. Don't get another nub scan. You are obsessing over this and no matter what the nub looks like, until it is a proper time to identify gender for real, it is just a guess. I don't think a guess is what you are really looking for!

Yes I would definitely wait for a real confirmation, and going for another scan now would mean you will spend time nub guessing which makes it all the more frustrating! I know I would be!
I never got a 12-13 week scan was disappointed, so I'm now waiting for my gender scan which is on Thursday! Eeeekkk.
2 and half weeks may sound long but time flies by hopefully!Married To my Teenage Sweet

I agree you should wait until you'll be able to see the real things not the nub (even though the wait is agony!). Just curious how your able to book a scan so early? When I booked my elective scan the earliest I could go was 16 weeks. Is it your Dr. or another place? I have mine on Aug 10th-I hope we both hear what we are hoping for!

For my sanity I think I will wait... ive got lots going on in the next few weeks so will try and stay busy... eak!
Im paying private for my 16 week scan, the NHS will give me another one at 20 weeks.

Just wait it out... Put your u/s pics away and stop obsessing lol I looked at my nub pics for one day and put them away cause I knew they would drive me mad... And I waited all the way to 18 weeks and had mostly girl guesses on my nub and got told boy at 18 weeks
