So this past Friday DH hurt his shoulder really bad playing softball. He had some Vicodin left over from breaking his nose in Feb playing football .. haha I know... men. So he took 2 pills in 24 hours. Since then he has been taking Naproxen Sodium. Do I need to worry about any of these things doing anything to his swimmers and hurting our sway in a few weeks?
Side note: I have been a pescatarian for a while now. Last night at a party for our friends husband I don't know what came over me but I had some pepperoni and pulled pork. Will that effect my sway in a negative way from going so long without meat? I don't feel ill or anything...

If your swaying in a few weeks you have nothing to worry about even if they did effect his swimmers he has plenty of time for his body to make new swimmers before your attempt eating those meats will only help your sway you should really consider adding red meat to your diet to help with your sway you are suppose to eat a very hearty diet when swaying boy!! :-)

Glad to see you here! When do you think you're going to get a +tive OPK for attempt? I'm thinking we're this upcoming weekend and dm so excited! Last month was a negative for us so I'm hoping this is our month! How did your sway end up going?
I don't think the meds will effect you at all. It's not like he took them on day of attempt, right? Even still I'd think you'd be fine. As far as the meat goes, I think that completely works for you! I too, only eat fish and wish I could have done what you did. If you're good with it, keep it up! Might give you a protein boost or something!

Our sway is about 2 1/2 weeks away now. So hopefully his sperm will still be nice and healthy!
I know a lot of women do more read meat for the diet I just was concerned because previously when I have eaten something like chicken I normally get a cold the day or two after. I spoke to my doctor about this and she said that for most vegetarians meat will actually weaken your immune systems. So I was concerned that maybe me eating the meat would hurt my sway by weakening my immune system but I feel fine so I think I am good! Thanks for the re assurance
I swear all I do is obsess about this sway everyday!

Hey! How have you been?! That is so exciting that you are a few days away from your attempt! I am estimated to ovulate on the 26th of this month. So I am only about 2 1/2 weeks away. Honestly I wish my period would just come early! I am so anxious! I am hoping the meds wont effect him. But I don't want to wait another month! Hopefully we both get our BFPs this month! Will you find out what you are having or do you wait until you give birth?

Oh my goodness, I don't think I could wait until the baby was born! Honestly, I really would LOVE to have that moment when the baby was coming out and hearing...."it's a.....?"
My impatience and curiosity gets the best of me though. This is 4th and final so it will be our last chance for that experience. I go back and forth because it would be SUCH an amazing experience but I worry that I already know too much with the nub theory. Maybe I could schedule the NT scan at 12wks verses 14 for an unreliable result. Then I wonder, if the baby is a girl will my very first reaction be disappointment? I know that sounds nuts....how could you feel anything but joy with a baby in your arms. I just don't know. What about you? Will you guys find out?
It's nice to hook up again with the girls I started with back in April/May! I feel like its been such a journey! How did the rest of your sway go? Are you doing a hard core sway with drinks and all?
I'm sooooo excited to try this month! Last month was SUCH a bust! I was crazy stressed because my SO was out of town and i had the kids by myself for days plus tons of other things going on. Timing was off, I geared up to O early then didn't then did 2 days later so I feel like things are really set for things to go well this month.
I'm really excited for us and I hope we both get +tives and ultimately get our boys!

Oh no DH and I could never wait! We are both too impatient! If we have a boy next (GOD willing) and then we decide to have a 3rd in the future then MAYBE we would wait .. but I think DH would be too anxious. I am getting super nervous! My period is due Monday and then I will start swaying harder. Right now the only "drinks" I am doing are lemon water all day long and a small can of V8 everyday. But from AF-O I am going to be doing a big can of V8 everyday, grapefruit juice in the morning, and green tea. Then Robitussin and pre seed. My diet has changed but only as far as how much I am eating. I have been a very nutritious eater for the past 4 years even though with snacking so much lately I find myself eating some chips or cookies here and there which I probably shouldn't. How about you? How are you tracking your ovulation? I hope we get our BFP's too!!!!And our boys!!!!

Yeah, the idea of having that moment sounds awesome BUT then I think of not knowing the entire pregnancy and leaving the ultrasounds not knowing and I get sad. It's going to be a crap shoot!
As far as my away goes I didn't do anything hard core like gelatin drinks or anything. I decided to eat better - meaning more - and try to snack a lot with protein and a carb. Say cheese and a few crackers and a glass of V8 Fusion. That has been my go-to drink. It's easy for me to get extra veg/fruit servings in, keeps me hydrated, and yummy! I added in wheatgrass tablets this week before O. Not sure what that's supposed to do exactly but I hear people and Atomic talking about doing that blitz thd week of O. I've been super solid with my supplements of 1000mg fish oil, prenatal, 2400mcg folic acid, 1000 Vit D, and an extra 99mg Potassium.
As far as tracking a +tive? My temps are very predictable and I have always (hopefully it stays that way) get a dip of about 0.4 degrees the day I get a +tive. So that usually gives me a hint. About day 11 (tomorrow) I start testing 2x day with IC's, then day 13 I move to testing 4x a day so I know exactly when I surged. Fortunately, I get a fade in pattern so I usually know its coming.
I need to be way on top of timing because we are doing an ICI and I have one shot at timing - meaning one attempt. A little nerve racking but we have been very successful in the past (thankfully) so we hope to be so blessed this go around. With that....I have to go eat! I can't wait to get pregnant just to be able to go back to my old eating habits! I live more of a pink lifestyle by nature!

Eating meat is fine and cannot hurt you.
I would not have him take any more of the Vicodin and he needs to wean off the ibuprofin when he is able to. It's not ideal but I do not think mod. use of painkillers by DH can break a sway (or we'd have all daughters, my husband is always taking that stuff)!!!
