Thank you so much in advance for reading this! Of course most importantly I am hoping for a perfect healthy baby but after that I really was hoping/thought this was going to be a girl. At a surprise 14w u/s the tech told me it was looking like a boy although said it was too early to be 100%. I know I shouldn't keep hope alive but just wanted to see if anyone at all could see this changing after 14w? Thanks again for looking!

I am no expert but it really is early. Couldn't the girly parts be swollen still? For what its worth, my friend was told boy at her 18 WK ultrasound and was shocked at birth to fond out he was a SHE! We thought they tricked us but they were genuinely shocked. It can happen :-)

I'm not an expert, but that does look fairly boy like to me. Maybe start to prepare yourself to hear 'boy' and if it turns out to be a girl it will be a wonderful surprise! X

To me that looks like the umbilical cord. It seems to be to far up inbeteeeb the legs and there seem to be a gap behind it where it doesn't touch the body. I think it's too early. Hope you get your girl!

That looks more like umbilical cord to me. If you look further down, towards the back/butt, looks like maybe girl.

I think it looks detached because that black hole thing is the bladder (per the U/S tech). Off to google umbilical cords pictures!
Thanks so much for the guesses!

I got your PM and thought I would respond here so you and others can compare.......My honest opinion is that yours does indeed look like it MIGHT be a boy but 14 weeks is way too early and I am proof of that. While it is probably best to prepare for boy, nothing is certain at that gestation! Here are a few pics of my girl at 14w3d (I was told she was a boy) and then girl at 21 weeks. I don't want to give you false hope so I would most certainly plan on boy if I were you.
"Boy" shot at 14w3d
Here is my girl shot at 21 weeks
It really can go either way for yours , but I do have to mention that your ultrasound looks very similar to my friends scan and hers was a boy......
I hope this helps!!! Baby boys are so awesome and so sweet if this is indeed a boy, I am sure he will be the love of your life!!!Last edited by Thorz300; September 5th, 2013 at 03:34 PM.
