you can achieve...is what I keep hearing.
I have gone back to college to become a Nurse. It has been interesting, to say the least, being a college student again after so many years. It freaks me out that some of my fellow students are just 4 or 5 years older than DD1!
The recurring theme in college is "if you can believe it, you can achieve it". While this is a great theme for those just learning to navigate adulthood, it is such a slap in the face to those of us with GD or fertility issues.
I have been swaying for almost a year and I am finally seeing a fertility doctor. After my last consult with her I left feeling so strange. If their is one thing we cannot control, without science, it is fertility and gender selection. Even with science, it is no guarantee.
I have wanted to believe I can have a son, or even get pregnant, for many years. That possibility is what kept me going after the horrid GD I suffered with DD3.
But I can't achieve it (at least not yet!) just because I can believe it.![]()

Thank you!
I am sick of hearing - if you believe it you can achieve it!
I believe I can have a baby because I have had 3 other babies, but that doesn't mean I can change nature (without science) and just have a baby because I believe I can....just venting.
This unexplained infertility stinks!!!

Oh it is a slap in the face. Similar to things like The Secret. Like you can attract things. Even the bad stuff happening to you. Oh well must be my own fault then. Gee thanks

I don't know if it helps but I have two friends, one tried for 3 years without results, then went on to IVF and fell pregnant 2nd cycle, and now she has 2 gorgeous boys, the second one naturally conceived. The other one has thyroid problems and tried for 4 years and just last week I saw her with her cute little boy in her arms. Life seems to be so unfair sometimes, but hang on because good things do happen, as cliche as it may sound. Wishing your believing you can will turn into one those miracles.
